The DFS Must Starts: Jacobs, Dallas combo make lineup building easy in Week 7

The DFS Must Starts Week 7

Last week’s group of The DFS Must Starts let us down after a big day in Week 6.

San Francisco’s Mac Jones couldn’t find the end zone even though he threw for 347 yards in the 49ers road loss to Tampa Bay.

Las VegasAshton Jeanty and DallasJake Ferguson had good weeks but not weeks to help bring home some money.

And then there was LA RamsPuka Nacua, who hurt his ankle and was limited to only 2 receptions and 28 receiving yards.

Hopefully, we can get back on track this week and I’m going to add Chalky Plays and Value Plays to my list!

Let’s get into the plays of the week!

QB DFS Must Starts

Dak Prescott, Dallas ($6,500, 7.9 percent rostered)

Prescott is in a prime situation this week – Washington is in the bottom 10 of passing yards allowed on the road with 252.3 yards a game and the Cowboys defense can’t stop anyone.

And the Commanders and Dallas are both in the bottom 3 of opponent yards per pass attempt at 7.6 and 7.8 yards.

Plus, Dak gets CeeDee Lamb back after his high ankle sprain forced him to miss three games. Lamb was averaging 8 catches for 111 yards in his first two before the injury early in the Chicago game in Week 3.

Chalky Play: Jayden Daniels, Washington ($6,900, 22.7 percent rostered)

Value Play: Caleb Williams, Chicago ($5,800, 10 percent rostered)

RB DFS Must Starts

Josh Jacobs, Green Bay ($7,800, 14.3 percent rostered)

Jacobs has been an unstoppable force for the Packers the last two weeks as he has averaged 30-plus DraftKings points.

And he’s doing it with his legs (4 rushing TDs) and in the passing game (9 catches for 128 yards) in those two games.

Now he face Arizona’s bottom 10 defense for fantasy points allowed to running backs. The Cardinals have given up 24.1 DK points to RBs this season.

Arizona has been solid vs. the run this season, giving up 102 rushing yards a game, but running backs are averaging 5.2 reception a game vs. the Cardinals defense.

Chalky Play: Quinshon Judkins, Cleveland ($6,000, 19.4 percent rostered)

Value Play: D’Andre Swift, Chicago ($5,700, 11.5 percent rostered)

WR DFS Must Starts

CeeDee Lamb, Dallas ($7,500, 16.8 percent rostered)

If I’m playing Prescott, I’m definitely teaming him up with CeeDee.

Lamb enters the contest with no injury designation and he loved playing against the Commanders last season.

He averaged 11.5 catches and a touchdown a game vs. Washington in 2024.

The Commanders have struggled against WR as they have given up 34.5 DK points to the position this season.

Chalky Play: Rashee Rice, Kansas City ($5,600, 18.4 percent rostered)

Value Play: Luke McCaffrey, Washington ($4,100, 1.5 percent rostered)

TE DFS Must Starts

Harold Fannin Jr., Cleveland ($3,900, 6.2 percent rostered)

Just like Prescott has the perfect recipe for success so does Fannin Jr. this week.

The Browns starting TE David Njoku is missing the Miami game with a knee injury, and Fannin Jr. could see his already high snap count approach the 90 percent range.

And Fannin Jr. was already producing with Njoku on the field as well. Fannin Jr. has averaged 10.3 DK points in his last three games.

Now the Miami defense comes to town and it has given up 15.7 DK points to TEs this season.

Chalky Play: Tyler Warren, Indianapolis ($5,200, 11.3 percent rostered)

Value Play: Mason Taylor, NY Jets ($3,400, 5.8 percent rostered)

DST Plays

Denver ($3,500, 5.7 percent rostered) home against NY Giants

New England ($3,400, 8.3 percent rostered) at Tennessee

Value Play: Chicago ($3,100, 4.1 percent rostered) home against New Orleans
