The NFL season began last week and the craziness of fantasy football came with it. They join college football as we are now officially in full swing for the 2026 season. As your fantasy drafts are now complete and your team is set, it’s not too early to start thinking about next season. Dynasty managers can never be too prepared as it’s important to understand the incoming talent as you make important roster decisions during the season.
Here are future fantasy stars to keep an eye on as the college football season continues.
Drew Mestemaker, QB, Oklahoma State
Drew Mestemaker faced a daunting opponent in just his second game in the Big 4 as his Oklahoma State Cowboys faced the 6th ranked Oregon Ducks. After a lackluster debut a week ago, Mestemaker didn’t fail to show that he belongs in Big 10 play.
The NFL hopeful completed 26/43 passes for 317 yards, 2 TDs and 2 INTs which alone counts for 20.68 fantasy points. Mestemaker is much more than a traditional gunslinger QB though, he has great athleticism for the position and made sure to show it on Saturday.
In addition to this acrobatic touchdown, he ran for 109 yards, which brings his fantasy total to 37.58 points.
As it’s only his junior year, Mestemaker could return to college football in 2027, but rapid development like he’s shown in his first two games of the season may convince him otherwise. He has elite arm talent, athleticism, good anticipation and plenty of room to grow, making him a very intriguing draft prospect no matter which year he chooses to enter.
Charlie Becker, WR, Indiana
The National Champion Indiana Hoosiers lost both of their starting wide receivers to the NFL draft, leaving Charlie Becker the opportunity to serve as WR1 in 2026. Through two games, Becker has caught an eye opening 7 passes for 145 yards and 5 TDs.
In Week 2, Becker caught 3 of those touchdowns in a single game, on just 3 receptions. He added 81 yards onto his impressive performance for a fantasy point total of 27.6.
Becker’s 6’4″ frame and catch radius make him a natural red zone threat, proven by his high TD rate already this season. It’s a trait NFL teams will covet and it should earn him redzone targets very early in his pro career. Once drafted into the NFL, his value in fantasy football will vary based on his team and opportunities. In dynasty, I project him as a first round pick, even in a talented 2027 draft class. His redzone value and savviness lends itself to being a successful NFL receiver. For redraft, it’s harder to predict, but he will undoubtedly bring high upside as a late round pick.
Antwan Raymond, RB, Rutgers
A relatively unknown prospect, Antwan Raymond was productive last year in his first year as a starter rushing for 1,241 yards on 244 carries and scored 13 times. He added 2 more touchdowns as a receiver with 18 receptions for 225 yards.
Raymond is 5’11”, 205 pounds but looks thicker and runs tougher than his listed size indicates. He is a bruising back who prefers to run north and south and uses leverage and great contact balance to churn out yards. His tough running isn’t his only trick though. He displays good route running ability and soft hands, creating a valuable dual threat in the backfield.
A productive 2026 will certainly turns heads of NFL scouts and fantasy managers alike. As a high volume runner with receiving upside, he may have what it takes to be the RB1 fantasy managers covet. His week 2 performance of 22.2 fantasy points is hard to ignore and puts him on future fantasy radar for the rest of the season.
