College football never disappoints and week 3 was no different. Future NFL and fantasy football stars showed up and showed out proving they are worth a closer look as the season goes on. The following players had impressive showings this week in college football and should catch the attention of NFL scouts and dynasty fantasy players alike.

Trinidad Chambliss, QB, Ole Miss
Trinidad Chambliss turned heads this week as his Rebels defeated the LSU Tigers in Lane Kiffin‘s highly anticipated return to Ole Miss. The 24 year old veteran of college football has had an impressive start to his 2026 campaign, slinging passes through defenses in impressive fashion – showing off an arm that looks more active and stronger than years passed.
Against his former coach, Chambliss posted 363 passing yards, 2 passing TDs and a rushing TD. He threw one interception that is easily forgotten given his impressive stat line and fantasy output. His best performance of the season earned him 30.52 fantasy points.
If he continues this early season success, Chambliss could be considered for the Heisman Trophy at the end of the season. Along with the potential accolades comes soaring draft stock. QB needy teams in the NFL have been scouting heavy already this season and Chambliss is certainly worth considering in the first round.
Luke Reynolds, TE, Virginia Tech
Transferring from Penn State, Luke Reynolds followed James Franklin to Virginia Tech where he would become a focal point of the offense. It didn’t take long for Reynolds to stand out as already in week 3 he’s collected 25 receptions for 265 yards and 4 touchdowns.
In his week 3 matchup against Maryland, he caught 12 passes for 107 yards and 1 touchdown on his way to 22.7 fantasy points.
Reynolds has high end starting tight end potential in the NFL. In my summer scouting series, I listed him as 3rd in a very strong tight end class. Although he’s my TE3, he still projects as a first round pick to me.
His 6’4″, 250 pound frame is ideal NFL size. He lines up all over the formation and has elite yards after catch ability. He regularly makes the first defender miss, has good speed and finishes each play through contact. In what could be a rare high end skill position draft, Reynolds could get lost behind some top end talent in dynasty drafts. Make sure you’re following Luke Reynolds as he continues to dominate at Virginia Tech and select him as a mid round sleeper.
Mario Craver, WR, Texas A&M
The shifty, slot type wide receiver Mario Craver had an impressive showing Saturday night in a loss to the Kentucky Wildcats. Craver, listed at 5’9″, 180 pounds, hauled in 11 receptions for 119 yards.
This type of volume based production could be a sign of things to come in the NFL and for fantasy football managers. His big play speed combined with seamless transition from catch to YAC makes for an intimidating weapon for defenses.
NFL teams target these type players in all rounds of the NFL draft giving him real value at the pro level. High volume, inside receivers like Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Emeka Egbuka have taken the league by storm.
As a fantasy football manager, being ahead of the curve could be the key to locking up the next talented high volume fantasy star. Take note of Cravers 17.4 fantasy points on Saturday as it may be a sign of things to come in his NFL career.
