Week 4 in college football featured established and emerging stars across the fantasy football and NFL draft landscape. A Heisman hopeful, up and coming P4 runner, and a familiar player in a new place top the list of future fantasy stars in week 4.

Sam Leavitt, QB, LSU
Sam Leavitt played his cleanest game of the season as the LSU Tigers blew out Texas A&M 35-6. The journeyman junior played under control and on time on his way to 312 yards on 17 completions for 2 touchdown passes and 2 interception. His 73.9% completion rate was easily his highest of the season. Leavitt totaled 24.68 fantasy points on the day, including his 22 yards on the ground.
22 yards on 5 carries would tie his lowest output of the season on the ground, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Leavitt played on time and within the offense, an ability he’s rarely shown which gives me reservations about his projection into the NFL. He often plays sporadically, bailing quickly on plays and improvising almost regularly. Quarterbacks can get by with that type of play in college football, but in the pros, it has to be a beneficial element to your game, not your identity.
Leavitt has pro potential, but will need to show more discipline and restraint by letting plays develop from the pocket. Last weeks game against Texas A&M is a perfect example of what he can and will need to do to make it in the NFL. My hope is that Leavitt builds on this impressive showing so he can improve on his day 3, backup QB projection in the NFL.
Cam Cook, RB, West Virginia
College football’s 5th leading rusher in the nation had an impressive showing in a loss to Oklahoma State on Saturday. Cam Cook is listed at 5’9″, 203 pounds but is thickly built and runs with a good mix of contact balance, toughness and long speed.
He has not disappointed as he re-enters P4 play after an impressive season at Jacksonville State. In 2025, he led the nation with 1,659 yards and 16 touchdowns on 295 carries, showing that he has the durability to hold up throughout a season and shoulder a heavy workload as a feature back.
After a strong day with 22 fantasy points, Cook should be on dynasty owners radar as a potential draft selection and stash. He averages over 18 points per game this season and has gone over 100 rushing yards in three of his four starts. Keep an eye on Cam Cook as West Virginia gets its running game going.
Jeremiah Smith, WR, Ohio State
1.01 has no chance of being overlooked or missed out on, but it’s hard not to highlight the best wide receiver prospect of all time. Jeremiah Smith with undoubtedly be the first selection in every dynasty draft, but this article is about giving future fantasy stars praise on a week to week basis, and nobody is more deserving this week than Smith
The 6’4″, 222 pound Heisman hopeful should be the top player on NFL draft boards across the league. I am yet to put official grades on players, thus having no defined “board”, but expect Smith to be at the top. The eye test does him plenty of justice, no grades required.
The route running, ball tracking, hands, combat catches and YAC was all on display on Saturday as the Ohio State Buckeye put together a career day against Illinois. Smith caught 12 passes for 217 yards and 4 touchdowns, totaling 51.7 fantasy points, a new career high. Dynasty managers with a failing season should be preparing to trade the house for 1.01 in order to draft this near can’t-miss prospect.
