For the first time in a while, my Betting Guide was pretty much a stinker.
Jackson Koivun, making his third start as a pro, picked up the 3M Open title as he held off world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler.
And my picks for a winner and Top 20 finishers didn’t pass the sniff test as I was shut out for the first time since late in the spring.
Oh well, there’s always this week as the PGA Tour heads to the Detroit Golf Club for one last time this weekend. The Rocket Classic is one of this year’s events which will not be renewed for the new 2027 schedule.
Aldrich Potgieter is the defending champion, holding off Max Greyserman and Chris Kirk in a playoff.
Let’s get into this week’s plays! All odds are from DraftKings.

Betting Guide: Bets to Win
Wyndham Clark (+1850)
Clark is the first of two golfers who I’m betting this week who have won big tournaments this year as Clark took down the U.S. Open last month.
His streak of 6 straight Top 15 finishes came to an end when he missed the cut at The Open Championship, the last time he teed it up.
But his game should still be in nice form for the refurbished Detroit Golf Club course.
Clark has 7 out of 11 stat categories I used this week in the Top 40 on Tour, led by his birdies or better (3rd on Tour).
Jacob Bridgeman (+4800)
Bridgeman also won a big tournament this season as he took down the Genesis Invitational in February.
And it’s been a long road since that victory. He has only 4 Top 20 finishes with a T11 at RBC Canadian Open in early June as his last Top 20 finish.
But his game has started to come back into form similar to that win.
His putter is his strength (3rd on Tour) and it should be a weapon on the updated green complexes at Detroit Golf Club. All 18 greens were rebuilt and enlarged for this year’s event.
Christian Bezuidenhout (+10000)
Bezuidenhout is my darkhorse this weekend as I’ve done a ladder bet on him from Top 20 to winning the Rocket Classic.
He’s not going to wow us with any great stats but his consistent play during the last month (3 Top 25 finishes out of 4 tournaments) has him rounding into form to take down a victory.
With the updated green complexes, his putting (17th on Tour) and scrambling (7th on Tour) may be needed.
Top 20 with ties
Doug Ghim (+225): Ghim let me down last week as a Bet to Win as he missed the cut at the 3M Open, but his strong tee to green play will be needed on the refurbished course.
Ben Kohles (+245): Kohles’ recent iron play has had him lurking the top of the leaderboard last three PGA Tour events.
One and Done
Jackson Koivun: I’m going to go with Koivun’s hot hand as the pickings have become slim during the final few weeks of the One and Done season.
