Welcome to NFL Week 11 Buy or Sell?! It is coming down to the wire. Trade deadlines are different for everybody, but no one will make it out of November with the ability to make a trade. Let’s take a look at some things we saw in Week 11 and what moves we can make to help our stretch run.
NFL Week 11 Buys
Travis Etienne Jr.
Travis Etienne Jr. has not appeared in this spot for me at all this season. With the uncertainty of the Jaguars‘ backfield, along with his decline in production last season, it has been difficult to offer him a spot on the buy list, but over the season and last two weeks especially, he has really carved out a role for himself and is the clear RB1 since the week 8 bye for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Since Tank Bigsby was traded, Bhayshal Tuten showcased a larger workload, and some even thought that they might feature him as the RB1, but Etienne has provided no reason to think that as of late. He has seen his highest workload of the season in the last two games. The Jaguars have also put their best out on the field because both of their two most recent matchups came within one score late, and the Jaguars were reeling. This is a good sign for the veteran Etienne to be the main workhorse.
Should anything happen to Etienne, Tuten, the replacement, would be the next option. Therefore, if the Etienne owner has both, try to acquire both of them in a prospective move. Trade players like J.K. Dobbins and Kenneth Walker for Etienne, as their situations are looking bleak, and Etienne’s looks much better.
Jaylen Warren
Jaylen Warren has been underrated all season. The Pittsburgh Steelers have relied on him to produce a respectable 5-4 record to this point. He has only scored two touchdowns this season, and there is reason to believe that touchdown regression will change very soon. He also has a pretty high floor, as the lowest amount of points he has scored this season is 7.3. And only twice under 10 overall. Even in a game where the Steelers struggled to do anything offensively, he scored 10 points and averaged 5 yards per carry.
Warren will not break the bank in trading, and I honestly think he could be a reliable starter with upside down the stretch. He has a couple of tough matchups in the fantasy playoffs, but to get into the playoffs as well as championship week, the matchup is rather favorable. Trade similar players like J.K. Dobbins, Walker III.
Omarion Hampton
Omarion Hampton has not played in a football game since week five. The Chargers’ offensive line situation is looking bleaker than ever with Joe Alt being ruled out for the year. So why trade for Omarion Hampton? Well, his backup, Kimani Vidal, has scored 20 fantasy points 3 times in his absence. This is a positive sign for Hampton when he returns. The Chargers have a week 12 bye, and he is sure to be out until after that. So you are looking at a potential week 13 return for the young running back. If you are a team that has been dominant all season or has a record that is potentially league-winning and needs an extra boost in the playoffs at RB2, trade for Omarion Hampton.
Do not trade for Hampton if you are clinging to your playoff spot for dear life; it would not make sense for you to risk making the playoffs. Trade players like DK Metcalf, Tetairoa McMillan, Marvin Harrison Jr., and Chris Olave for Hampton.
NFL Week 11 Sells
Nico Collins
Nico Collins finds himself as a candidate to be sold once again. He finds himself in a very good game with Davis Mills under center, and he totaled 7 receptions for 136 yards. While C.J. Stroud is out, Mills will be under center. It did not look pretty for almost 3 quarters of the game until he led them to a 4th quarter comeback. Collins may believe that I have something out for him, and so may you, but the reality of the situation is that the players that are in his range are much more appealing than his inconsistency this season.
I would rather have all of these players ranked similarly to him this season: Emeka Egbuka, Davante Adams, Jaylen Waddle, Kyren Williams, Ashton Jeanty, Bucky Irving, and George Pickens.
Breece Hall
Breece Hall had a great game this Sunday, as the New York Jets found their second win against the Cleveland Browns. They are building quite a resume by beating the Cincinnati Bengals and the Cleveland Browns. Hall had 18.5 points, with the bullet point being the 42-yard reception for a touchdown that he took for a score, but if you remove that, he has nothing to show for and a measly 8 points.
Hall is just in a bad offense on a bad team, and I cannot get behind what the Jets are doing this season. The production that he has could fail you down the stretch, so look for a similar player on a better team when making a Breece Hall trade. Trade Breece Hall for: Ladd McConkey, Ashton Jeanty, or Bucky Irving returning from injury.
Chris Olave
Chris Olave has been much better than I anticipated heading into this season. The New Orleans Saints QB carousel has been what was expected of them. Olave is the only player startable in fantasy this season from that Saints roster. This makes it difficult to have consistency from Olave, as you never know if the Saints will struggle with their ability to put up 10 points on any given week. Olave puts up a respectable amount of points, never less than 7, but only two weeks where he eclipsed the 15 fantasy point mark. AND of course, touchdowns will be limited playing within that offense.
He is currently ranked back-to-back with Omarion Hampton. If you could get that trade done straight up, I would take it and run. As long as I am not holding on to my playoff spot for dear life. Trade him for DeVonta Smith, DK Metcalf, Tee Higgins, Zay Flowers, and Jaylen Warren.
