This weekend is the beginning of the fantasy football draft season, and there are four players who are getting drafted after Pick No. 100 that you need to have your radar.
Every season there are players who drafted in the ninth round or later that prove to be the difference in a championship or wait until next year.
Let’s dive into four players who are ranked outside the Top 100, according to the FantasyPros Expert Consensus rankings.
Picks after No. 100
Quentin Johnston, LA Chargers (No. 101)
I’m kind of cheating on this one as Quentin Johnston will probably dip below the 100-mark as the preseason progresses.
Just like I said in an earlier story about the Cincinnati offense, I love everything about the Chargers offense this season.
New offensive coordinator Mike McDaniels takes over the reins of an offense full of standout players.
Quarterback Justin Herbert, running back Omarion Hampton and wide receiver Ladd McConkey have all caught early steam during the fantasy preseason.
But Johnston may the guy who has the best draft value of the bunch.
He had a career-high 735 receiving yards in just 14 games and tied his career-high with 8 touchdowns last season.
Plus, McDaniels made Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle WR1s in their first season together – I can see that happening with Johnston and McConkey this season.
Stefon Diggs, Washington (FantasyPros Expert Consensus No. 118)
Stefon Diggs will probably be a Top 100 pick before the regular season begins as he gets acclimated to the Washington offensive scheme.
But early camp news has Diggs and Commanders QB Jayden Daniels connecting on all cylinders.
During a joint practice with Miami, Diggs and Daniels tormented the young Dolphins secondary during 7-on-7 drills.
And Diggs has found a way to connect with his young QBs in his storied past. He was a WR1 from 2020-23 with the Buffalo Bills and Josh Allen.

Jordan Mason, Minnesota (FantasyPros Expert Consensus No. 123)
We know going into the season the Vikings coaching staff has been referring to Aaron Jones Sr. and Jordan Mason as 1a and 1b, interchangeable parts in their offense.
But Mason has been making noise in camp to claim the RB No. 1 for his own.
And here are some numbers that may make him a Top 100 pick before the regular season starts.
Mason is coming off a career-high in carries at 159, but he was able to maintain a high yards per carry mark at 4.8. He has also scored a career-high rushing TDs with 6 and caught 14 of the 16 targets last season.
Now let’s get into Jones Sr.’s numbers.
First off, he’s on the wrong side of 30 for a RB (Jones is currently 31 years old), and he’s not a physical freak like Baltimore’s Derrick Henry to take the pounding of a 10-year NFL running back.
After he played 17 games in his first season with the Vikings, he only played 12 games last year. He only rushed for 548 yards (2nd lowest in his career) in those games and he averaged a career-low 4.2 yards per carry.
This camp chatter for Mason may finally be the beginning for him to be the go-to RB.
Tyler Shough, New Orleans (FantasyPros Expert Consensus No. 124)
Tyler Shough is currently QB20 in FantasyPros Expert Consensus, which explains why his ranked outside of the Top 100.
Yes, first-round pick Jordyn Tyson is expected to miss time with a hamstring injury, but Shough showed last year what he could do in the Saints’ offense.
He led them to a 4-2 record in the final 6 games last year and he averaged 20.1 fantasy points during that span.
And the organization added more offensive parts around their young QB.
The Saints signed RB Travis Etienne Jr. and TE Noah Fant in free agency and added Tyson and TE Oscar Delp through the draft.
And New Orleans also restructured veteran RB Alvin Kamara’s contract to keep him around for his experience in the Kellen Moore offense.
Shough’s experience and confidence from that 6-game stretch last season should continue to rise with added pieces and WR Chris Olave leading the WR corps.
