For the first time in franchise history, the Milwaukee Brewers are World Series champions! The Brew Crew made it look easy against the Tampa Bay Rays, beating them 4-1 in five games. They controlled the series. Whether it was the comeback win in Game 2, the blowout in Game 3, or shutting down the Rays’ bats in the clinching game, the Brewers were clearly the better team. They silenced all the doubters and got to celebrate as the undisputed best team in baseball.
Whenever a team wins a title, videos of fans celebrating are always fun to watch. But these ones are different. With the Brewers around since 1969 and only one World Series title before this, many felt this would never happen. The celebration you are seeing is pure joy. Fans who suffered through losing seasons and countless playoff heartbreaks. But this win erases all the pain and suffering. It does not matter because right now the Brewers sit atop the baseball world.
Brewers Fans Will Be in the Front Row for This Celebration
For years, the Brewers were the bridesmaid of the National League. They always put together a strong regular season, went into the playoffs, and got embarrassed. Since 2018, they’ve made the postseason seven times, and each time it ended in embarrassing heartbreak. Whether it was getting swept in championship series or giving up a three-run home run with two outs and a series-clinching win in sight, it felt like the Brewers were never gonna win the last game of the season.
But this time the Brewers were determined that things were different. They were dominant from the beginning of the postseason, going 11-2 throughout October. This was largely thanks to their pitching. They allowed no more than four runs in any game this postseason. Their bullpen was elite, having a 1.38 ERA and holding opponents to a .173 batting average. Superstar pitcher Jacob Misiorowoski was also lights out, giving up one run over 10 2/3 innings during the World Series, including five and two-thirds shutout innings in Game 5.
During the World Series, no one had a bigger impact than William Contreras. He had eight hits during the series, driving in four RBIs and scoring two runs. It earned him the Series MVP award. It was also the perfect end to his strong postseason performance, finishing with a .378 batting average and 1.036 OPS with three home runs, nine RBIs, and seven runs scored. He also hit two in Game 5, including an RBI double in the bottom of the first that gave the Brewers a 2-0 lead and set up the best night in team history.
While it was a perfect night for the Brewers, one thing was missing from this celebration: the late great Bob Uceker. He was the Brewers’ play-by-play voice from 1971 until his passing in January 2025. Nobody loved the team as much as Uceker did, and the team loved him back. When they would clinch a series, they’d wait for Uceker to come down from the booth to start the celebration. Back when they won the pennant in 1982, he said it was the greatest moment of his life. He may not have been around to see it, but you know he was watching in heaven with a big smile on his face.
So once again, congratulations to the Brewers and their fanbase. It may have taken longer than you’d like, but this title is well worth the wait. Go enjoy this one and soak up all the highlights and celebration videos you can. You earned it!
