Bills Win 3 Straight as Dolphins Face Rebuild Questions

The undefeated Buffalo Bills advance to 3-0 on the season, 2-0 in the AFC East, as LB Terrel Bernard secures a game-winning interception. Bernard’s interception advances the Bills’ record of 25 straight games of winning the turnover battle and counting. That’s not the only record that was broken on Thursday night, as Josh Allen achieved 300 total touchdowns (including playoffs), the fastest among QBs all time.

Game Recap

The Dolphins and Bills remained neck and neck late Thursday in what appeared to be a rejuvenated Mike McDaniel offense, but once again, Miami lost due to a lack of quality quarterback play. Tua threw a terrible interception that all but sealed the Dolphins’ fate. Leading up to that moment, it felt as if Buffalo controlled the entirety of the game despite the score being close or even tied at some points.

My Player of the Game

I could go with James Cook again after yet another impressive performance this week that saw Cook reach over 100 total yards, but my player of the game has to go to Josh Allen, who completed almost 80% of his passes and protected the football. Allen would go on to have 238 total yards and 3 touchdowns, leading Buffalo to yet another victory.

How Long Can Buffalo Stay Undefeated

With the schedule the Bills have, they should easily be 7-0 when they face off against Kansas City in week 9. Buffalo has been successful against the Chiefs in the regular season, and if they come away with a victory, the only other 2 major teams would be a potential Burrowless Bengals team and the reigning Super Bowl Champion, the Philadelphia Eagles. So it begs the question, can the Bills finish 17-0? Yes, anything is possible with Josh Allen at the helm. It would be an incredibly tall task to go 17-0 as any team can win any given Sunday, but this could finally be Buffalo’s year.

What Should The Dolphins Do

Miami is in a very strange predicament. They sold off draft capital a few seasons ago for Tyreek Hill and Bradley Chubb, proceeded to pay Tua Tagovailoa, and are sitting at 0-3. Is it time for our division rival to move on and hit the reset button in hopes of reigniting the classic Bills-Dolphins rivalry?

Yes. Start by selling Tyreek Hill for multiple day 3 picks. Tuas’ cap hit makes it difficult for him to be moved, so they are likely to run it back with him in 2026. As for vets like Zach Sieler, Bradley Chubb, and Minkah Fitzpatrick, Miami needs to sell to the highest bidder and acquire draft capital to help them in the future.

Upcoming Matchup

The Bills will get some much-needed rest in between now and week 4 when the New Orleans Saints visit Buffalo. Hopefully, veterans Ed Oliver and Matt Milano can recover in time, as they are important to the Bills’ defensive identity.
