The Super Bowl is finally here as the Kansas City Chiefs look to make history with the first-ever three-peat in the NFL vs the Philadelphia Eagles. The Chiefs are one of the hardest teams to predict in fantasy football this year and will constantly adapt their gameplan to their opponent resulting in sporadic fantasy performances. On Philadelphia’s side of things, they are more cookie cutter with Saquon Barkley driving the engine of the offense. Both offenses will be facing two of the best defenses in football potentially leading to a low-scoring game. Let’s take a look at each position’s fantasy rankings heading into the big game.
Quarterbacks
Rankings
- Jalen Hurts (PHI)
- Patrick Mahomes (KC)
Position Notes
Both quarterbacks are coming from monster championship performances, scoring multiple rushing touchdowns. While we do not expect Patrick Mahomes to rush for two touchdowns again, he is likely in for another good game against a tough Eagles defense. Mahomes numbers have not been impressive this season but the volume will be there against the Eagles’ top-ranked run defense to have high passing totals. Jalen Hurts on the other hand is the best option of the two with his consistent volume on the ground. Hurts has seven total touchdowns this postseason and will see plenty of one-on-one opportunities on the outside to have his highest passing yard total of the postseason.
Running Backs
Rankings
- Saquon Barkley (PHI)
- Kareem Hunt (KC)
- Isiah Pacheco (KC)
- Kenneth Gainwell (PHI)
Position Notes
If you have Saquon Barkley available this week, you are surely firing him up in your starting lineup. Barkley has been a monster in his last two games scoring over 31 points in each. The Chiefs have been great against running backs but ultimately Barkley is a different animal and should be started at all costs. Kareem Hunt and Isiah Pacheco are the next best options at running back this week. Hunt has taken over as the primary back as Pacheco has not looked like himself since his injury. Hunt has scored 11.5+ points in the last two games while Pacheco has only scored 6.2 points the whole postseason. Kareem Hunt should be your next best option if you already utilized Saquon Barkley this postseason.

Wide Receivers
Rankings
- A.J. Brown (PHI)
- Xavier Worthy (KC)
- DeVonta Smith (PHI)
- Marquise Brown (KC)
- DeAndre Hopkins (KC)
- Jahan Dotson (PHI)
Position Notes
The wide receiver position is where you will likely be digging deep to fill in your flex position in the Super Bowl. On the Eagles side of things, their receivers have been quiet this postseason but A.J. Brown had a big performance in the championship game. Expect DeVonta Smith to be in for a nice day against a Chiefs defense that has struggled to defend the middle of the field. On Kansas City’s side of things, Xavier Worthy has taken over as the WR1 and had a big performance against Buffalo. Don’t be surprised if Marquise Brown and DeAndre Hopkins get involved more this week either.
Tight Ends
Rankings
- Travis Kelce (KC)
- Dallas Goedert (PHI)
- Noah Gray (KC)
- Grant Calcaterra (PHI)
Position Notes
As far as the tight end position goes, if you have Travis Kelce available you are starting him. Kelce broke his postseason record of 70+ receiving yard games after a quiet game against the Bills. Zach Ertz had a field day against the Eagles and I expect Kelce to have a similar day tomorrow. Dallas Goedert is also a solid play this week as he has been a consistent producer this postseason and has a plus matchup. The Chiefs had one of the highest points allowed totals to the tight end position this season boding well for Goedert. If you have used both players, Noah Gray is not a bad fallback with his 5 touchdown catches this season.

Defenses
Rankings
- Philadelphia Eagles
- Kansas City Chiefs
Kickers
Rankings
- Harrison Butker (KC)
- Jake Elliott (PHI)
