Welcome back to Blitz Sports Media! Today, we’re diving into Diamond Quest, the brand-new mode in MLB The Show 25’s Diamond Dynasty. This mode might just be one of the best ways to grind rewards, earn stubs, and stack up your squad early on in the game.
If you’re looking to maximize rewards and learn how to play the newest game mode in diamond dynasty, then this guide is for you. Let’s break down exactly how Diamond Quest works and why it’s worth your time.
Rolling The Dice – How The Game Board Works
When you hop into Diamond Quest, you’ll notice that it plays kind of like a board game. You roll the dice to move across the board, and depending on where you land, you’ll face different challenges, events, or opportunities to earn rewards.
Each game board has exclusive rewards, which means if you’re looking for specific cards, target the right board to get those rare and epic pulls.
- Rolling a six – Usually leads to something positive.
- Rolling a one – Not ideal… expect some kind of negative effect.
Once you land on a space, you might have to complete a quick 3-inning challenge against an AI opponent. These games are where you earn progress, unlock perks, and boost your odds of getting better rewards.
And while there’s no actual “death” in this mode, the way it’s structured feels very roguelike, where strategy and risk management play a huge role.
Beware Of The Zone Sweeper

Now, let’s talk about the biggest threat on the board – the Zone Sweeper.
That flaming baseball with an evil grin? Yeah, that’s not just for decoration. The Zone Sweeper moves across the board in a rectangular pattern, chasing you down.
If it catches you, you’ll be forced into a Legend difficulty showdown. Winning is great, but losing? That’s where things get rough:
- You’ll lose all the Peanuts you’ve accumulated.
- You’ll get negative perks, making future games harder.
So, before you move, pay attention to its movement pattern. If you can predict where it’s heading, you can avoid the sweeper altogether and make your run a whole lot easier.
What Are Peanuts & How Do You Use Them?
Peanuts are essentially Diamond Quest’s in-game currency. You collect them as you progress, and they can be exchanged at Coach’s Cart for valuable boosts and power-ups.
Some of the perks you can buy include:
- Boosting normal swings
- Increasing outfielder arm strength
- Improving contact ability when trailing in a game
But here’s the catch: if you fail a challenge, you lose the Peanuts you’ve collected. So, you need to balance risk and reward when deciding how aggressively you play.

Complete Challenges To Boost Your Rewards

Throughout the board, you’ll run into optional challenges. These can range from striking out two batters to avoiding giving up runs.
If you win, your odds of landing epic and rare rewards go up by 3% per challenge.
Now, here’s where strategy comes into play:
- Playing more challenges increases your odds of earning high-tier rewards.
- But failing a challenge can set you back.
Once you reach 100% progress, you’re guaranteed to get the top reward if you win the final stadium challenge. But anything less than 100% is a gamble.
If you’re not confident in a certain challenge, skipping it might be the smarter move rather than risking everything.
Choosing The Right Difficulty
Diamond Quest lets you pick your challenge difficulty, and this is where things get interesting.
- GOAT or Legend difficulty – Best rewards but also toughest matchups.
- Hall of Fame difficulty – Still solid, but not for casual players.
- All-Star difficulty or Below – Easier games, but lower chances at top-tier rewards.
If you want the best rewards, you’ll have to play at higher difficulties to guarantee that you leave the stadium challenges with those rewards. Playing on a lower difficulty means you are going to have a significantly lower chance of earning the best rewards.
Personally, I recommend starting on a mid-tier difficulty (like All-Star) until you get comfortable with how the mode works. Then, if you’re feeling confident, crank it up for the big rewards.
Why You Should Grind Diamond Quest

Alright, so why should you even bother with Diamond Quest?
Simple. It’s one of the fastest ways to earn stubs, XP, and high-value cards early in MLB The Show 25.
- Earn packs, stubs, and XP while playing.
- Stack up on sellable diamond cards that go for big stubs in the marketplace.
- Grind towards live series collections without spending real money.
In my first hour of playing Diamond Quest, I made over 60,000 stubs, pulled multiple diamond cards, and earned XP towards Team Affinity and programs.
That’s a huge boost early in the game cycle, especially if you’re looking to build up your squad fast and complete the live series collection
Final Thoughts – Is Diamond Quest Worth It?
100% yes.
Not only is Diamond Quest fun, but it’s also one of the best ways to earn rewards efficiently in MLB The Show 25.
- Great for grinding stubs
- Huge XP boosts for programs
- Sellable diamond cards
- A fresh new way to play offline
And with more Diamond Quest boards likely dropping throughout the year, this mode is going to be a staple in Diamond Dynasty.
So, if you haven’t tried it yet, jump in, roll those dice, and start stacking rewards. And if you’ve already played, let me know what your best rewards have been so far!
