Welcome back. Here are the MLB DFS DraftKings Picks for Monday’s slate. Let’s get into it.
BAL @ NYY
Neither of these pitchers have been giving up the long ball this year and Schlittler has been lights out. The only interest I’ll have in this game is Schlittler with his 30%+ K rate this year.

CIN @ CHC
The weather here has primed this game for runs today. 78 degrees with 15 MPH winds blowing out.
Cabrera does a solid job of not giving up too much power, but I can’t trust him here with this weather. On the other side, Petty is making his first start of the season this year, after previously pitching 7 innings in the big leagues last year and getting lit up. All Chicago bats are in play here with a lean towards their RHBs, though I don’t think you can go wrong with any of these hitters.
I particularly like Nico Hoerner here at the top of the order, who I feel is due for some positive home run regression this year. Swanson is also someone I’ll be targeting in DFS and for a bomb.

CLE @ KC
I’m not looking to heavy stack against either one of these pitchers. I might take a shot at a solo KC LHB or two hoping for a long ball against Bibee, who’s been struggling against lefties this year.
Carter Jensen fits that bill perfectly. .600 slugging this year, high fly ball rate, lots of hard contact, and lots of those balls are leaving the yard!

MIL @ STL
I won’t have any interest in hitters in this matchup and have some interest in both pitchers at their cheaper price points. Neither are going to jump off the page with their low K numbers, but both have decent underlying stats. Patrick does a great job at producing soft contact and this STL lineup isn’t a tough one to navigate. On the other side, Leahy does a great job at keeping the ball down and has just got a bit unlucky with the power numbers from the left side.

LAD @ HOU
I’m going to pass on Yamamoto here. It’s not particularly a bad spot for him but at his price point he really needs to rack up the Ks. So far this year his K numbers are down and this Houston team simply doesn’t strike out against RHP pitching. I just don’t see the upside with his price in this spot.
I like LAD RHBs here against Okert. He’s been getting smashed so far this year by the right side of the plate. Guys like Pages and Rojas I think could go under the radar and both have been hitting well against LHPs this year.

CHW @ LAA
There are some hot bats in both of these lineups but I’m not going to chase them here. Both these starters have had solid seasons so far. I’m probably avoiding this game as a whole.

ATL @ SEA
Gilbert hasn’t looked like his usual self yet this year and I’ll be avoiding him again here. He’s not at the point I’d take hitters against him so Atlanta will be out of play for me as well.
Atlanta’s rookie Ritchie was getting eaten up by lefties in the minors this year before his call-up. That trend has continued in the majors. I’m looking to target him with lefties in this spot. Seattle’s offense hasn’t been hot by any means, which makes me like this stack a bit more here in hopes people are off of it. Luke Raley is the keystone here in my Seattle stacks.

SD @ SF
You’d be reaching going to this game for hitters. Randy Vasquez has been lights out so far this season and gets a ballpark upgrade here. On the other side, McDonald is getting his first start this year. This is a great ballpark to do it in and his numbers have been great so far this year in the minors. The only thing that will probably keep me off of him is he hasn’t been very stretched out this year. Last start he went 4 innings, which was his highest of the year. I feel he ends up with a very short leash here.

Recap
Spots I’m attacking tonight:
Pitchers: Schlittler, Randy Vasquez, Patrick, Leahy.
Stacks and hitters:
- Cubs hitters against Petty in the wind. Nico Hoerner and Dansby Swanson lead the way.
- Carter Jensen as a one-off against Bibee, hoping for a long ball.
- LAD RHBs vs Okert. Pages and Rojas could go under the radar.
- Seattle lefties vs Ritchie, with Luke Raley as the keystone.
Good luck tonight.
