Welcome to NFL Week 15 Must Sit! We have waited all year for this! Welcome to the fantasy football playoffs. This week on Must Sit, we will mainly be discussing players that I believe could lose you your week with injury or limitations in upside. A lot of these players you may have to play in a second flex spot or something of that nature, but I am warning you of the limited upside these players will have.
Aaron Jones
Aaron Jones is a player who will either win you the matchup in the playoffs or lose it. It’s been that way his entire career, and I like the guy a lot, but coming off of injury, I don’t know if I can trust him. Last year, he played in every game, but late in the year, he left games early and never returned. If this happens again with Jones, you may be out of a spot in the semi-final and a chance at the crown. If you made it to this point, odds are you weren’t relying on Jones, but take a look at the depth within your lineup to see if there is a better option. The Minnesota Vikings are obviously struggling with finding their next QB, as J.J. McCarthy has not been as productive as they need to support the two stud receivers they have in Jordan Addison and Justin Jefferson.Â
Zonovan (Bam) Knight
If you are like me and desperate in some spot, Bam Knight has had to take up a spot in your starting lineup a few times in the last several amount of weeks. It never did feel truly great, and I do not anticipate that to change here in Week 15. He’s gotten us there with a touchdown and saved his day a few times, which has been great, but you cannot put your playoff hopes on the line with Bam Knight in the flex or RB2. The Arizona Cardinals are facing the Houston Texans this week, and that is not the matchup that you want heading into a playoff matchup. The Texans’ defense is unbelievable, and I might say best in the NFL. They can cripple a team offensively, and Bam Knight and the Cardinals are a team that cannot cripple. Sit him this week against the Texans and keep your playoff hopes alive.Â
Brian Thomas Jr.
Brian Thomas Jr. has been a real disappointment in year 2. His sophomore season has been filled with injury and lackluster performances. The 2025 Fantasy first-round pick has looked more like an 8th round pick, and why would we expect that to change 15 weeks into the season against the New York Jets, who are improving as the season moves along. Thomas has had two games over 10 fantasy points, and honestly, it has been tough to watch this season. Bench Brian Thomas Jr., before your first round pick or early second, ruins your season once again.Â
Luther Burden III
Luther Burden is ranked as a WR3 this week, and I am not so sure it is for good reason. They do play the Cleveland Browns this week, which they do have a good defense, but at this point in the season, that defense is so defeated and worn down that it will be tough to conquer the Chicago Bears‘ offense. We saw an uptick from about 50% to 70% snap percentage in the game last week against the Green Bay Packers, but overall, this is not the sign we needed. That game was the most important to date for the Bears this season, but I cannot see laying my playoff life on the line for a guy who has not had a game with more than 4 receptions. If you are a massive underdog and need some crazy upside, go for it, but if this is a standard matchup, bench Burden III in week 15.
Chris Godwin
I honestly cannot explain how Chris Godwin is ranked nearly as a WR2 this week against the Atlanta Falcons. Godwin has been a shell of his former self, only playing in 5 games this season and now er having the breakout we needed from him. I don’t feel good about any sort of upside from Godwin this week. That’s all, no upside. Especially if we are in the playoffs, we need guys with some sort of upside. Bench Godwin this week in favor of others.Â
