Week 15 Panic Meter: Kyren Williams, the RB 2 in LA?

Welcome to Blitz Sports Media’s Fantasy Football “Panic Meter” for Week 15. Each week, we will identify some of the disappointing performances from the prior week to determine if it is time to panic. Welcome to the 2025 fantasy football playoffs, as hopefully you have a first-round bye.

Patrick Mahomes (QB) Kansas City Chiefs

Panic Meter: 1

The current quarterback 2 in fantasy is coming off a poor performance against a tough Texans defense, with just 6.3 fantasy points. The Chiefs‘ QB is going against a better matchup, as Patrick Mahomes had 26.02 fantasy points in Week 1 against them, even in the loss. If you have him, you still have to roll him out another week and hope the offense rebounds before the fantasy championship. You likely don’t have another option, and Mahomes could always go for at least 15-20 points with the first week of the fantasy playoffs coming up.

Kyren Williams (RB) Los Angeles Rams

Panic Meter: 2

Although Kyren Williams also got there with 17.7 points last week for the Rams, his running mate, Blake Corum, went off with 26.1 PPR points against the Cardinals. The handcuffs‘ snaps have been increasing in the past few games, and with the Lions’ tough run defense, Week 15 could be a tough test. You likely have to play him since his floor is good enough as a starter, but I wouldn’t expect a massive performance.

Marvin Harrison Jr. (WR) Arizona Cardinals

Panic Meter: 3

With Marvin Harrison Jr. likely out, but even if he comes back, it’s clear Arizona’s offense, despite the losing streak, is better with Michael Wilson as the receiver one with Jacoby Brissett hyper-targeting him and Trey McBride. Regardless, it is a tough matchup against the Texans, so either way, I wouldn’t start Harrison Jr. this week with fantasy playoffs on the line.

Cut List | Panic Meter: 4

  • Jayden Daniels, QB, and Zach Ertz, TE. Washington Commanders
  • Daniel Jones, QB, Indianapolis Colts
  • Trey Benson, RB, Arizona Cardinals
  • Adonai Mitchell and John Metchie, WR, New York Jets
  • D.J. Moore, WR, Chicago Bears
  • Oronde Gadsden II, TE. Los Angeles Chargers
  • Mark Andrews, TE, Baltimore Ravens

Most of these drops are due to injuries, but if there are better options on waivers, then the receivers and tight ends mentioned could be dropped.

Despite getting paid, Mark Andrews has been bad the last few games and has been outplayed by his running mate, Isaiah Likely, for the Ravens. The Chargers’ rookie tight end has had a bad run out the past month, and things aren’t looking up for him with their passing attack underperforming due to Justin Herbert’s injury and the offensive line.

Even if Rome Odunze is out again, you can’t trust D.J. Moore, as he has been a boom but mostly bust player this year and not a featured weapon in this offense for Caleb Williams and the Bears. Although Tyrod Taylor could come back from his injury, the Jets’ receivers Adonai Mitchell and John Metchie could be dropped, as it was a good but short run out with safer options most likely on the waiver wire for the fantasy playoffs.
