NFL Week 13 Must Sit

Welcome to NFL Week 13 Must Sit! This week is a super Important week as there are only two more matchups before we hit the fantasy playoff grind. This is make it or break it for all of us, whether it be seeding or just to make it into the dance. These five players are tricky heading into the weekend. Make sure that you take into consideration all of the possible matchup hiccups because of the importance of these coming weeks. Here are your week-13 Must Sit players.

Michael Pittman Jr.

Michael Pittman Jr. is on pace for his best season in the NFL to date. He has 59 receptions for over 600 yards and 7 touchdowns. The best part about his season is that he has finally assumed the alpha position for real in Indianapolis, but there is one issue that is plaguing his season. He is not finishing very strongly. Pittman has only recorded 46 receiving yards in his last 2 games. This comes at a time when the Indianapolis Colts are on fraud watch in the whole league.

The Colts are playing the Texans this weekend, which is an extremely tough matchup for the crew. I believe that the Houston Texans have the best secondary in the NFL, and a ton of attention will be focused on Jonathan Taylor and Michael Pittman Jr. Bench Pittman this week as the Colts are in for a really tough matchup.

Michael Wilson

If you are new to fantasy football and made it to the playoff picture this late in the year, congratulations, but listen up. Michael Wilson is a trap player. The Arizona Cardinals are playing with a backup QB and are without their #1 wide receiver, Marvin Harrison Jr. In his absence, the offense has been extremely concentrated into two funnels: Trey McBride and Michael Wilson. Wilson is a start with no Marvin Harrison Jr., but he is on track to start this week and is sure to blow Wilson right back to a 4-point-a-week guy. Wilson’s production is unsustainable as he has 33 targets and 25 catches in the last two games for over 300 yards. I do not anticipate this to continue with MHJ back in the fold.

Jordan Addison

Jordan Addison has had a mighty fall from grace. I was so excited about the young wideout when he came back from suspension in week 4. He was really producing in his early time back. In fact, he actually out-produced Justin Jefferson in some weeks that they were both out there, but unfortunately for Addison owners, J.J. McCarthy cannot even support one wide receiver. Jefferson has struggled to be a WR2 in recent weeks, and we would need Carson Wentz to make sure that Addison produces to a level we would be comfortable starting him. Bench Addison in Week 13.

David Montgomery

Well, Jahmyr Gibbs scored 50+ fantasy points last week, depending on your league settings. This is great for Gibbs owners, but ultimately is the final nail in the coffin for David Montgomery owners. It is sad to say, but the historic 1-2 punch of Sonic and Knuckles has fallen into a one-man wrecking crew. Montgomery has seen under 45% of the snaps in 9 weeks out of the 13 thus far, and most of those weeks are below the 40% threshold. In the last couple ofweekss he has only had 11 rushes for 45 yards. A fine average, but the total is not enough to start him. This Thanksgiving, avoid helping David Montgomery and sit him against the Green Bay Packers.

Bucky Irving

I WAS SO EXCITED FOR THIS DAY, until Baker Mayfield got hurt. We have all been waiting for the return of the elusive Bucky Irving start. He has been sidelined since week four with a shoulder and foot injury, but is trending towards playing. Unfortunately for Irving, the Buccaneers find themselves in a tailspin in the three weeks after the bye. Losing to three good teams in a row. I want to sit Bucky Irving if I can to see what he has if Baker Mayfield is not playing. You may NEED to start him for upside if you are barely hanging on to or not in a playoff spot, but if you can bench Bucky to see what he has with Baker Mayfield recovering from a sprained AC joint.
