Steelers Sign Jeremiah Moon with Watt and Herbig’s Status in Doubt

The Steelers claimed linebacker Jeremiah Moon off of the Carolina Panthers practice squad on Wednesday, according to Matt Zenitz with CBS Sports.

The team appears to be preparing reinforcements incase T.J. Watt and Nick Herbig are to miss the week 16 matchup against the Detroit Lions.

Herbig missed practice Wednesday with a hamstring injury that occurred in the Steelers’ win against the Dolphins on Monday Night.

T.J. Watt missed the game entirely and has not practiced since he had a procedure on his lung to repair a dry needling treatment gone wrong.

Moon spent the 2024 season with the Steelers. After starting the season on IR, he was activated in October, dressed for 13 games and started one.

Alex Highsmith and rookie Jack Sawyer are assumed to start at the outside linebacker positions on Sunday, with DeMarvin Leal and Jeremiah Moon assuming the reserve roles.
