Help Is on the Way: Rashan Gary Headed to the Cowboys

Well Cowboys nation, help is on the way.

With the tampering period of free agency beginning, Jerry Jones has struck in another market, agreeing to send a 2027 fourth-round pick to Green Bay in exchange for 2024 Pro-Bowl DT Rashan Gary.

Gary, who will turn 29 during the upcoming season, departs Lambeau Field after spending the first seven years of his career chasing opposing QBs around the frozen tundra.

Last year, just before the season began, Gary saw the arrival of superstar pass-rushing mate Micah Parsons from the very city he’ll now call home. Appearing in 14 games together before Parsons went down for the season with an injury, the tandem combined for 20 sacks, 7.5 of those belonging to Gary.

Parsons also signed a record-breaking $47M/Yr extension upon his arrival, perhaps foreshadowing Gary’s exit from the team one way or another, with the latter’s 2026 cap hit set to eclipse $28 million.

Gary heads to Dallas with 46.5 career sacks in tow, hoping to bolster Dallas’s 30th ranked defensive & 32nd ranked pass defense.
