Last-Minute Waiver Wire for Week 4

It is a pivotal time in the fantasy football calendar, and waiver wire picks are more critical than ever. At this point, no one has separated themselves as a contender, and everyone is trying to avoid the toilet bowl. But time is running out. If you have had success early on, you need to do whatever it takes to hold that spot. However, if you are in the basement or under .500, you need to turn it around before you dig a hole too deep. A good waiver wire pickup can give your team the boost it needs. Here are three last-minute waiver wire pickups for Week 4.

Brian Robinson Jr., RB, Atlanta Falcons

If you have Bijan Robinson ahead of you on the depth chart, you likely won’t get much production. Yet Brian Robinson Jr. has proven that wrong through the first few games of the season. He has rushed for 132 yards on 30 carries with a touchdown. He has two catches for 16 yards. He has been very efficient when he’s been given the ball, averaging 4.6 yards per carry this season. While his opportunities are limited, he has made the most of them.

He is available in less than 30% of leagues, and this week’s matchup against the Saints gives him a good chance of breaking out. The Saints have been one of the league’s worst run defenses this season. They’ve allowed 386 yards and 128.7 yards per game. They also allowed 4.8 yards per touch this season. The Falcons’ offensive strategy should be to exploit this weakness. It should be a run-heavy scheme that gives both Falcons backs a decent number of touches. It could be another big week for Robinson.

Cooper Kupp, WR, Seattle Seahawks

When Drew Lock was under center, Cooper Kupp didn’t have much fantasy success. Sure, he was able to make some big plays, averaging around 14 yards per reception. But he only had one or two catches, giving him almost no value. It’s why he is on the waiver wire in over 80% of leagues. However, Sam Darnold’s return couldn’t have come at a better time. Darnold targeted Kupp five times, going for four catches with 46 yards and his first touchdown pass of the season.

That type of usage should make him one of the most popular players on the waiver wire this week. But his matchup against the Chargers makes him even more appealing. The Chargers have allowed the seventh-worst catchable-ball rate to receivers this season. When Kupp is targeted, he should not face much pressure to catch the ball. With him having an average target distance of 9.8, we should see Kupp get some big plays on Sunday. He should have no problem racking up yards and fantasy points.

Darren Waller, TE, Carolina Panthers

A few years ago, if you had said that Darren Waller would be fantasy relevant in 2026, many would have thought you were crazy. But since coming out of retirement, Waller has reminded us why he was such a dominant player with the Raiders. After a quiet Week 1, Waller has burst onto the scene. He has been targeted 13 times, catching 10 of them for 112 yards and two touchdowns. It seems like every week he and Bryce Young develop more chemistry, and it has led to him getting more looks.

While Waller breakout came last season, he could put in an even better game this upcoming week. Jalen Coker and Xavier Legette are dealing with injuries and are questionable for the game against the Lions. This could thrust Waller into the second receiving option behind Tetarioa McMillan. The Lions have also struggled to contain tight ends in the red zone, giving up six touchdowns to tight ends this season. We could see Waller put together not just his best performance this season, but of his career.
