If you survived the first round of your playoffs, I have a few Waiver Wire Stashes you could use or hide away on your bench from your playoff opponent.
This week begins the multiple days of games as the NFL continues its regular Thursday game, but it has two games on Saturday and then the rest of the slate on Sunday and Monday.
So you need to be aware of the schedule if you pick these Stash Can plays and want to use them in Week 16.
Let’s get into this week’s players!
Waiver Wire Stashes
Michael Carter, Arizona (5 percent Yahoo!, 9 percent ESPN, 45 percent Sleeper)
After Zonovan Knight went down with an ankle injury on his first carry, Carter was shoved back into the Cardinals’ running back workload in the loss to Houston.
Carter played 80 percent of the snaps after Knight’s injury and carried a strong workload.
He finished with 14 carries for 56 yards and added 4 receptions on 4 targets for another 38 yards.
With Emari Demercado playing through an ankle injury as well, Carter would in line as the Cardinals’ No. 1 back with a remaining playoff schedule home against Atlanta and at Cincinnati.
Jawhar Jordan, Houston (1 percent Yahoo!, 1 percent ESPN, 2 percent Sleeper)
Talk about a player coming from nowhere in Jordan.
The Texans has just activated the running back off the practice squad for their game against Arizona as Nick Chubb was inactive with a rib injury.
Starter Woody Marks entered the week with a lingering ankle injury and left the game early with an ankle injury after rushing for 30 yards and a fumble recovery for a touchdown.
Jordan filled in handled the majority of the rushing duties in the Texans’ 40-20 home win.
He finished playing 42 percent of the snaps and touched the ball 60 percent of the time in those snaps.
He carried the ball 15 times for 101 yards and had 2 catches on 2 targets for 17 yards.
Lil’Jordan Humphrey, Denver (1 percent Yahoo!, 1 percent ESPN, 8 percent Sleeper)
Humphrey must have a soft spot in Denver coach Sean Payton’s heart.
Humphrey, who signed off the New York Giants practice last month, played for Payton in New Orleans and now he’s carved out a role with the Broncos.
Thanks to Pat Bryant missing the Green Bay game with a hamstring injury, Humphrey played 68 percent of the snaps and had 3 catches on 4 targets for 42 yards and his first touchdown of the season.
Payton said Bryant could have played if the game was a playoff game, but hamstring injuries late in the season can be tough to recover from with WRs.
Jalen Coker, Carolina (5 percent Yahoo!, 4 percent ESPN, 74 percent Sleeper)
Coker continues to rotate between WR2 and WR3 for the Panthers in snap counts, but he continues score in double digits.
He has scored more than 11.2 points a game in his 3 of his last 4 games, including 17.4 and 16.0 points in his last two games.
Now the Panthers will play Tampa Bay’s pass funnel defense in Week 16 and then faces Seattle in Week 17. Both games are in Charlotte, but the Panthers could be slinging the ball in those games to keep their playoff hopes alive.
