The DFS Must Starts: Thanksgiving edition 4 top plays aim to stuff your wallet

The DFS Must Starts Thanksgiving Edition

After a new tweak to my spreadsheet, I had a profitable day with The DFS Must Starts last Sunday.

Philadelphia’s Jalen Hurts had a great first half (the Eagles staff forgot to keep the foot on the pedal in the second half), and Detroit’s Jahmyr Gibbs had a monster game.

Hurts’ teammate DeVonta Smith was overshadowed by his wide receiving mate A.J. Brown but still had a good day.

Arizona’s Trey McBride had a nice day despite being held out of the end zone for the first time in four weeks.

Today’s it’s all about the thanks to who read this story – a bonus story for the big Turkey Day games.

With a three-game slate, the rostered numbers will be high for my top plays, and I’m not worried about it as long as you get different in a spot or two.

And with the small slate, it’s about rostering the right combo of players, and not the highest scoring player at his position, to bring home a big tournament win.

I will posting my Top Plays on our Blitz Sports Media Discord an hour before the first game tomorrow. And it’s easy to join: https://discord.gg/ubewtTAnzJ

Let’s get into the Thanksgiving Day plays!

QB DFS Must Start

Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City ($6,500, 89.3 percent rostered)

Mahomes gets his shot at the Dallas defense, but which Dallas defense will he see will make or break my day?

Mahomes finally bounced back with 20-plus point game after getting slowed down by the Buffalo and Denver defenses.

Now he faces the defense that gives up the most DraftKings points to quarterbacks this season. The Cowboys have allowed QBs to score 25.5 DK points against them this season.

Plus, the Chiefs remain in must-win mode as they are currently 10th in the AFC Playoff standings.

RB DFS Must Start

Derrick Henry, Baltimore ($7,300, 57.8 percent rostered)

I know most may think I’m crazy of not having Gibbs ($8,800, 56.9 percent rostered) as my top RB play, but like I said earlier it’s about the right combinations to win on a short slate.

And Henry is slightly better value because of his $1,500 savings in salary against the Cincinnati awful defense.

The Bengals, just like the Cowboys for QBs, give up the most DK points to running backs this season, allowing 33.5 points a game.

And Henry has quietly put together two straight 20-plus point games, and the Cincinnati defense may be the right solution for a monster game.

WR DFS Must Start

Xavier Worthy, Kansas City ($4,500, 27.1 percent rostered)

Here is a spot where I think we can get a little different with our lineups if you are going with a single stack with Mahomes.

A lot of Mahomes stacks will probably go with Rashee Rice ($7,500, 42.6 percent rostered) or TE Travis Kelce ($5,000, 21.1 percent rostered) as their first piece, but using Worthy as a single stack gives you a different build.

And despite his lack of big games, Worthy still leads the Chiefs WRs in snap count percentage since Rice’s return. So he’s on the field!

TE DFS Must Start

Mark Andrews, Baltimore ($3,600, 25.5 percent rostered)

Andrews finished off the triple crown of big plays for the day as the Bengals are also the worst defense for DK points allowed to TEs.

Cincinnati has allowed 23.6 DK points to tight ends this season, almost 6 points more than the next team.

Now you may say Andrews has been bad lately, and I agree, but between him, Isaiah Likely or Charlie Kolar, I think Andrews should score the majority of those points. Likely and Kolar have a combined 20 catches between them for the season, while Andrews has 33 receptions – Andrews is still the obvious choice of the Baltimore QBs.
