Defensive Streamers: Bears look to continue strong home play in Week 10

Defensive Streamers Week 10

It was one of those weeks for Defensive Streamers as the optimal plays did not pan out and some weaker defenses stepped up.

Take Tennessee, for instance – the Titans were basically shut down on offense by the LA Chargers, but an interception return to a touchdown and a punt return for a TD kept them in the game. Their DST scored 20 points thanks to the two TDs and six sacks, and most didn’t predict that outburst.

Well let’s get into Week 10’s Defensive Streamers!

Defensive Streamers

Chicago home against New York Giants

I’m going back to Chicago DST when they are playing at home as one of my Defensive Streamers.

The unit has recorded 10 of its 17 sacks at Soldier Field this season and have forced 3 turnovers a game at home.

Now the Giants have an ever-improving offense with rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart leading the way, but RB Cam Skattebo’s injury has limited the explosiveness in the running game. And the New York is a less potent running team on the road, limited to 96.2 yards rushing a game.

Tampa Bay home against New England

I know the Patriots are one of the hottest teams in the NFL right now, but the Tampa Bay defense has been impressive in its last three games.

The Buccaneers have forced 8 turnovers, recorded 15 sacks and scored a defensive touchdown during the team’s 2-1 stretch.

Tampa Bay had only given up 15.3 points a game during the three game stretch.

And the Bucs love playing defense at home, giving up only 276.7 yards a game at Raymond James Stadium compared to 348.2 yards on the road.

I’m going to go with the red-hot defense over the red-hot offense in this contest.

Denver home against Las Vegas

The Broncos join Tampa Bay as one of the league’s better defenses at home than on the road.

Denver has given only 254.5 yards a game at home while giving up just more than 300 yards a game on the road.

Now they face a Raiders team that is in a bottom 3 offensive team in the NFL.

Despite their 331-yard output in its loss to Jacksonville, Las Vegas is only averaging 283.3 yards a game this season.

The main cause of concern Raiders offense are turnovers, which plays into the Broncos aggressive defensive approach. Las Vegas’ plus-minus on turnovers is on the negative side at minus-0.6 turnovers a game, one of the big reasons I’ve love to use streamers against this offense this season.

Buffalo at Miami

The Bills are looking for the season sweep and run their winning streak to 8 games against of their AFC East Division rival Miami.

And Buffalo aims to continue to its game plan in their two other road wins this season – run the ball with James Cook III to eat time off the clock and rest the defense.

The Bills have forced 4 turnovers, recorded 13 sacks and halted their opponents to only 14.3 points a game on the road this season.

The Dolphins enter the contest as a bottom 10 offense, averaging only 291.4 yards a game, while Buffalo only gives up 280.3 yards a game on the road.

The Bills are probably going to be my favorite Defensive Streamers play in DFS this week, as well.
