After I went through the top half of my Preseason Top 12 WRs for the 2025 fantasy football season, I realized the WR group is going to be another deep one.
Any of the next 6 can finish as a Top 3 WR next season, but we have to start our Top 12 somewhere. Someone is going to be left out of the first group, but these are the early lists (even though I don’t think anyone is going to crack this group like Ashton Jeanty could do with the RB group).
As we ramp up for the NFL Draft, Blitz Sports Media is having a Giveaway, featuring 1 NFL jersey, five items of Blitz merch, and 10 Hall of Fame memberships. Check it out! Giveaway ends on April 22.

No. 7: Puka Nucua, LA Rams
I had a few say I didn’t have Nucua high enough with my Part 1 story. Well, he is probably in this range of his ceiling with the acquisition of Davante Adams in the offseason. I know Cooper Kupp is gone, but Adams and Nucua are both outside WRs, which means their route trees are similar.
Unless Rams wants to put Puka in the slot, I believe Adams will eat into his target numbers. Nucua only played in 11 games last season,n and he only had four Top 12 weeks. Adding another alpha-type of outside WR does not bode to a monster season.
No. 8: Malik Nabers, NY Giants
What Nabers did in his rookie season is just incredible; however, could we imagine if he had better quarterback play? The upgrades of Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston are better than Daniel Jones, Drew Lock, and Tommy Devito, but the new guys still have flaws.
But Nabers can make one of the Giants’ new QBs elite, and was an easy choice for the preseason Top 12 WRs. He finished last season with 109 receptions on 170 targets for 1,204 yards and 7 TDs, and this was despite missing two games.
No. 9: Nico Collins, Houston
If Collins can stay healthy, he could be the overall No. 1 WR this season with the departure of Stefon Diggs and Tank Dell’s major knee injury. However, Collins missed five games last season and only had 3 weeks as a Top 12 WR in the whole fantasy football season. Other than his 33.7 fantasy outburst in Week 4, he only scored more than 22 points twice.
But C.J. Stroud had an off sophomore season in 2024 as the Texans depended on the running of veteran Joe Mixon. But if Stroud returns to his rookie season form, Collins could produce weekly WR1 numbers with no competition from the rest of the Texans’ WR corps.
No. 10: Jackson Smith-Njigba, Seattle
Smith-Njigba is the main reason the Seahawks were able to send D.K. Metcalf to Pittsburgh in an offseason trade. The second-year WR exploded last season for 100 receptions for 1,130 yards and 6 TDs, and this was with both Metcalf and Tyler Lockett still playing.
Now, Smith-Njigba will be the main focus of the passing game and will have a new QB, Sam Darnold. At least Darnold has proven he can provide the qualities needed to support a WR1 with his stint last season with Justin Jefferson and the Minnesota Vikings.
No. 11: Ladd McConkey, LA Chargers
McConkey only gave you two weeks where he was a Top 12 WR last season, but he found a way to finish in the Top 12 at the end of the season. It was his consistency that stood out, and the Chargers decided to open the offense after their Week 5 bye.
After the bye, McConkey saw 6 or more targets in every game except one, and he averaged 8.3 targets in the final seven games of the season. With Mike Williams returning to the Chargers, McConkey should have more room to roam from the slot in the 2025 fantasy football season.
No. 12: D.J. Moore, Chicago
Moore will have several good things helping him for the 2025 season: The offensive-minded Ben Johnson is taking over the head coach, and Keenan Allen was not re-signed in the offseason by the Bears.
Moore finished last season with a career-high 98 catches, but he was limited to fewer downfield routes as he averaged less than 10.0 yards a reception for the first time in his career. Johnson created a WR monster in Amon-Ra St. Brown while the offensive coordinator with Detroit for the last three seasons.
