The next three weeks of the NFL season will have 10 teams on byes – so let the Waiver Wire Stashes begin.
Week 8 includes San Francisco, New York Giants, Houston and New Orleans with byes, while Pittsburgh and Tennessee are the only two teams on bye in Week 9. Week 10 goes back to four teams, Chicago, Denver, Philadelphia and Tampa Bay.
There are a lot of talented offensive weapons who are going to be idle during this three-week period.
Let’s get into this week’s stashes!
Waiver Wire Stashes
Ryan Flournoy, Dallas (22 percent on Yahoo!, 26 percent on Sleeper)
I was surprised to see Dallas’ Ryan Flournoy to be this low rostered.
Yes, CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens get all the headlines in the Cowboys’ passing game, but Flournoy will be ready to step in if one of the big two go down.
Flournoy has played at least 66 percent of the snaps in every game this season, and he’s stepped up his fantasy output in his last three games.
He has averaged 13.3 points a game while seeing 17 targets in those three games.
Plus, the Cowboys are the third pass-heavy offense in the league at 66.3 percent.
Makai Lemon, Philadelphia (37 percent on Yahoo!, 46 percent on Sleeper)
Makai Lemon may be getting close as surpassing Dontayvion Wicks as the Eagles’ No. 2 WR.
The rookie has his biggest game of the season with DeVonta Smith and Wicks sidelined in Philadelphia’s Monday Night loss to Dallas.
He finished with 7 catches for 67 yards and his first NFL touchdown vs. the Cowboys.
But he’s been on the field a lot during the Eagles last three games. He’s 81 percent in each of those games and has seen 21 targets.
Lemon may continue to see high usage as Smith has a hamstring injury and Wicks is dealing with an ankle injury. Both did not practice last week.
Greg Dulcich, Miami (5 percent on Yahoo!, 4 percent on Sleeper)
The Miami offense has been so sluggish this year that Greg Dulcich has been under the radar for most of the season.
He has played in at least 61 percent of the snaps in each game and has had an up-and-down fantasy season.
He’s put double-digit scoring in half his games this year, but it’s a little boom or bust.
But with the likes of George Kittle, Isaiah Likely, Dalton Schultz, Juwan Johnson, Pat Freiermuth, Loveland Colston and Dallas Goddert with approaching bye weeks, TEs with quality playing time may be limited.
Devin Singletary, New York Giants (2 percent on Yahoo!, 4 percent on Sleeper)
The Giants caught a break with their bye week coming in this week to allow Cam Skattebo to have some rest with his mild hamstring injury.
But the team put Tyrone Tracy Jr. on IR on Tuesday, and now Devin Singletary will be no worse than the No. 2 behind Skattebo when the Giants come out of the bye.
And Singletary, who scored the game-winning TD last week against Houston, can produce in limited playing time.
He scored 13.8 fantasy points in the Giants’ opener this season, and he’s been a quality receiver out of the backfield for his career.
