We have come to that time to of year where wide receivers have started to dominate fantasy football drafts and the running backs are the fallers of good fortune heading into the final weeks of draft season.
I’m going to take a look at 4 running backs, two tight ends and a wide receiver who have fallen at least 5 spots this week. These players are now hard to ignore as their recent drops in ADP have put them in must-draft territory.
Let’s dive into these fallers who are becoming great picks at their current spots!
The Fallers: Must Haves
De’Von Achane, Miami (FantasyPros Expert consensus No. 19, down 9 spots)
I have written already this season about De’Von Achane will be a big fantasy faller with the talent dwindling around him in Miami.
But I was never a big fan Achane as a first-round pick this year in our drafts to begin with, but I do love where he has fallen.
Fantasy managers are starting to buy into the Dolphins as one of the worst teams in the NFL. However, bad teams still have good fantasy options.
Achane is still the lead back without much competition for touches and should be the focal point of the offense, and even if he has a 20 percent drop in TDs scored in a season, he would still be predicted to score 9 TDs this season. Nine TDs would keep him in RB1 territory even on a bad team.
A late second-round or early third-round pick makes Achane a steal now!
Omarion Hampton, LA Chargers (FantasyPros Expert consensus No. 25, own 8 spots)
I understand the reasoning behind Omarion Hampton’s fall as the Chargers continue to be plagued by offensive line injuries.
Center Tyler Biadasz was lost for the season with an ACL injury, while left tackle Rashawn Slater is finally ramping up practice time after missing time with his knee injury.
So Hampton’s stock has taken a dip because of the O-line woes, but Hampton is still scheduled to handle the bulk of the backfield work for an expected explosive Chargers offense.
Javonte Williams, Dallas (FantasyPros Expert consensus No. 44, down 13 spots)
I really don’t understand why Javonte Williams has dropped a full round when he is still clearly the No. 1 guy in the Cowboys’ backfield.
Malik Davis and Jaydon Blue still remain a distant second and third in the depth chart on a Dallas offense that expects to be among the league leaders in scoring and yards this season.
Williams is part of a healthy group of starters including CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens and Jake Ferguson that should give Williams plenty of running lanes like in 2025.
Plus, the Cowboys gave Williams a 3-year, $24 million extension which screams RB1 in this offense.

Cam Skattebo, NY Giants (FantasyPros Expert consensus No. 56, down 20 spots)
Sooner or later fantasy managers are going to have to ignore that Najee Harris is not a viable source of competition to Cam Skattebo.
Harris was brought in to get Tyrone Tracy Jr. into shape after his preseason blunders.
Skattebo appears healthy after his bad lower leg injury last season (minus no more back-flips, a request from the Giants coaching staff), and despite not quite 100 percent yet, the No. 1 spot is his.
Coach John Harbaugh said Skattebo has made substantial progress with the more reps he receives in practice.
Kyle Pitts Sr., Atlanta (FantasyPros Expert consensus No. 81, down 14 spots)
Kyle Pitts Sr. has fallen a full round in a half in the past few days as concerns arise about his starting QB (or QBs).
Tua Tagovailoa and Michael Penix Jr. are currently locked into a battle for the QB1 spot for the Falcons.
Pitts does have familiarity with Penix Jr., but Pitts excelled the most last season when Kirk Cousins, who is in Las Vegas this season, was under center.
Tagovailoa only targeted TEs 14 percent of his time in Miami and that type of targeting is not going to pass the grade of a TE1 for Pitts.
But Pitts remains the second best option in the Falcons’ receiving group, behind WR Drake London, and the new offensive coordinator Kevin Stefanski likes to involve his TEs in the offense like he did in Cleveland with David Njoku and Harold Fannin Jr.
Courtland Sutton, Denver (FantasyPros Expert consensus No. 82, down 5 spots)
I absolutely love Jaylen Waddle’s arrival in Denver, and Courtland Sutton may not have his No. 1 mantel in the WR room. But Sutton should not be going as a late sixth-round or early seventh-round pick in a healthy Broncos offense.
Quarterback Bo Nix had a nice preseason debut since coming off of his ankle injury he suffered in the playoffs last season. A healthy Nix could give Denver two top-level WRs in Waddle and Sutton.
Sutton, who turns 31 in October, may have enough juice in the tank to give coach Sean Payton’s offense some added firepower.
Isaiah Likely, NY Giants (FantasyPros Expert consensus No. 121, down 15 spots)
Though the Giants are expected to play more 12 personnel, bringing another TE on the field, but Isaiah Likely is the still the receiving TE of Jaxson Dart’s choice.
Plus, Likely use to playing in a multiple TE offense, playing as the backup to Mark Andrews during his first four years in the NFL.
And Likely appeared to be Dart’s security blanket in recent joint practices. He caught 6 passes against Miami last week during a joint practice that Malik Nabors sat out.
