Many high-profile names are in this year’s draft class. I covered the top RB, WR, and TE in previous articles to see their best fantasy landing spots. For this time around, I gather together the rest of the top skill positions players to find their perfect fantasy match. These players were mocked to these teams in some regards, so these are very possible matches during the draft weekend.
Omarion Hampton (RB)
Best Fantasy Match – Dallas Cowboys
The franchise of the Dallas Cowboys is synonymous with having an elite backfield. Unfortunately, as of recent times, they have not had a star there since Ezekiel Elliott left in 2022. Zek has had phenomenal years in fantasy as the lead back in Dallas, multiple times finishing in the Top 10. This is where Omarion Hampton steps in. The former Tar Heel comes in as the consensus RB2 for this draft class after a 1,660 rushing yards with 15 TDs in his final season.
Hampton is a pure runner, which complements an offense with Ceedee Lamb and is led by Dak Prescott. This becomes a three-headed fantasy monster if Hampton dons the Dallas star in a week. Hampton was not known for his receiving skills in college, but his athleticism can lead to him being a PPR beast. His production will most likely be on the ground, scoring touchdowns and large break-out runs. But if he can find himself in some screens or bump-offs to add to his fantasy production, we may finish as the top rookie in this draft.

TreVeyon Henderson (RB)
Best Fantasy Match – Denver Broncos
The Denver Broncos were one of the surprise teams of 2024. They drafted Bo Nix in the first round in last year’s draft, who led them to the playoffs last season. Sean Payton has turned around this franchise in a short amount of time and is continuing to mold them into his vision. Payton has his quarterback, great defense, solid receivers, and now just needs a weapon in the backfield.
The obvious comparison will be that TreVeyon Henderson will be Payton’s new Alvin Kamara. We, as fantasy owners, are here for it! Henderson is my favorite fantasy running back of this class because of his versatility. He can run with the rest of them, but also has the route running & catching abilities of some of the top dual threats in the NFL. I believe the pairing of Payton and Henderson will skyrocket Henderson’s value in dynasty and redraft leagues to the moon!
I will plant my flag here, if TreVeyon Henderson is drafted by the Denver Broncos, he will be one of MY GUYS heading into the 2025 fantasy season.
Quinshon Judkins (RB)
Best Fantasy Match – Pittsburgh Steelers
This is a copy-paste kind of match between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Quinshon Judkins. Judkins is as good a runner as Najee Harris, who signed with the Los Angeles Chargers this offseason. Steelers always have an aggressive pure running back in the backfield, and Judkins could fit right into the Steel City style. The Steelers currently have Jaylen Warren, Cordarrelle Patterson, and Kenneth Gainwell on their depth chart. The former Buckeye could easily own that backfield in a short time.
Judkins is used to sharing a backfield, but still managed 1,060 yards on the ground along with 14 touchdowns. He has not had a season under 1k rushing yards in his collegiate career. During his time at Ole Miss as the RB1, he managed 130.7 yards from scrimmage per game in 2022 & 100.5 yards from scrimmage per game in 2023. He can be the main game for any NFL team, but he would thrive in the black & gold.
Emeka Egbuka (WR)
Best Fantasy Match – Houston Texans
The NFL darlings are the Houston Texans. They were coming off a hot 2023 season and tried to capitalize on the momentum by trading for Stefon Diggs to an already high-powered offense. They came back and won the division again with a Wild Card win over the Chargers, but fell short of the Kansas City Chiefs in the Divisional round. Diggs has gone on to New England to join the Patriots & Tank Dell will miss 2025 due to another injury. This leads to an opening in the offense for a partner in crime with Nico Collins.
Emeka Egbuka has been called the “safest selection” among the wide receivers in this year’s draft class. This label comes about due to Egbuka’s reliability during his time at Ohio State. Egbuka and Collins would be such an elite pairing for C.J. Stroud to throw to for years. Texans are explosive and reach the top 10 in pass attempts per game in the NFL. Collins will be on the outside and downfield, where Egbuka’s route running can find himself open in the short/intermediate depths of the field. The big problem for the Texans is keeping Stroud upright, but I am all for giving a young quarterback more weapons is always a recipe for success (in fantasy).
Luther Burden lll
Best Fantasy Match – Buffalo Bills
After looking over the mock draft profile for Luther Burden, many experts are placing him all over the place. Burden is an explosive type of wide receiver, he creates magic when the ball gets into his hands. My perfect fantasy match for Burden would be the Buffalo Bills. The Bills continue to be stopped by the Kansas City Chiefs in the playoffs, and for football purposes, may address other things in the first round of the draft. But this is for pure fantasy reasoning.
Josh Allen has the ability to get the ball out fast to his receivers. This is the perfect pairing for Burden, as he is a playmaker who just needs the ball in his hands to create space. Burden ranked 4th in all of college in YAC per reception (7.26). He could also beat defenders off the line for any deep route. His receiver bag is endless and could be prolific for an offense like Buffalo has.
The hyper meter can go full max depending on whether they use a day 1 selection on Burden, but if they find themselves down the road. I would be pretty excited for it regardless.
Colston Loveland (TE)
Best Fantasy Match – Los Angeles Chargers
Colston Loveland may be the second tight end taken off the board in this year’s draft. Tyler Warren has TE1 locked in on everyone’s big board, but it doesn’t take away from the talent Loveland has. Loveland can line up anywhere on the field, which gives me the versatility of the modern-day tight end. A wise University of Michigan football head coach once said, “There are no turnarounds at Michigan.” This is why I fit Colston Loveland perfectly with the Los Angeles Chargers & Jim Harbaugh.
Harbaugh gets his former tight end on the field with his Chargers. Loveland had his best statistical season during Michigan’s national title run in 2023, which ended up being Harbaugh’s final season as the Wolverines’ head coach. The Chargers made it to the playoffs in Harbaugh’s first season but fell short to the Texans.
Loveland gives Justin Herbert a new weapon to accompany Ladd McConkey on the field. Loveland was used in multiple ways by Harbaugh at Michigan and could be used in the exact same way at the NFL level. The surge of rookie tight ends in the past seasons could open up the doors for Loveland if selected by the Chargers.
