NFL Week 10 Buy or Sell?: Pickens & Odunze Out, Tet, Bucky, Henry are In

Welcome to NFL Week 10 Buy or Sell?! This week is one of those weeks where it’s getting down to the wire. With just 5 weeks left in the fantasy regular season, it is time to put up or shut up. The NFL trade deadline is Tuesday, November 4. Our trade deadlines are just a couple of weeks away! This is one of the last weeks where you can outsmart some of your league mates as you try to get ahead of some injuries, playoff schedules, and bye weeks.

Week 10 Buys

Bucky Irving

Bucky Irving has been out since week 4 with an injury, and it’s safe to say that his explosive play style may lack some luster being out for so long. Actually… That is what you want your league mates to think, as Bucky Irving was held out until after the bye to make sure that he is fully healthy to go. When healthy, Irving is a top 5 fantasy running back in the NFL. He proved that throughout the past year.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers offense is an explosive one at that. It is important to recognize that this is an offense that you want to be invested in going down the stretch of your fantasy season. I want to stress the importance of a healthy offense contextually when it comes to the fantasy playoffs and the health of a fantasy team down the stretch. Bucky Irving, in the context of that offense, will be successful. Their quarterback, Baker Mayfield, will lead them to the promised land. Trade for Bucky Iriving using guys like Rome Odunze and Ladd McConkey.

Derrick Henry

Derrick Henry is another one of those players that we are buying into for the rest of the fantasy season. Henry has provided us with a lot to look forward to now that the Baltimore Ravens have gotten healthy. Lamar Jackson is back, and they have won back-to-back games.

It looks like they will begin a winning streak, with the strength of their schedule being less than stellar the rest of the way. Henry has a difficult playoff matchup set, but before that, he plays the Bengals twice and the Jets. This could get you into the fantasy playoffs if there is any doubt about that. Henry has also proven throughout his career that he is not matchup dependent. He can dominate in any game he plays as long as he is in the right game context, which the Ravens should be for the rest of the year.

Derrick Henry has looked like his normal self the last three weeks, totaling over 300 yards and 2 touchdowns in those games. Buy Derick Henry for guys like Nico Collins, as the situation around him looks bleaker than ever with C.J. Stroud getting injured over the weekend.

Tetairoa McMillan

Tetairoa McMillan was on this list a few times over the year, but it has been a while. Tet was primed for a breakout for most of the year. While it has not fully happened to this point, he has looked really good with the opportunity that has been given to him. They also may have a chance to get better in this Offense. McMillan has had a few spike weeks, and there is no reason that you should not be concerned, but that also means that he is so much cheaper than some of these other late-season targets.

The Carolina Panthers play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers twice in the last three weeks of the season. It gives me the hope that they will be able to compete in a shootout with the Bucs. As Bryce Young grows and his chemistry with McMillan grows, there is no doubt in my mind that he will be a potential league winner who is pretty cheap right now. I would rather have him over Marvin Harrison Jr., Chris Olave, and Deebo Samuel. All of these guys are ranked above him in consensus, and you could get a deal done for him.

Week 10 Sells

Rome Odunze

Rome Odunze has struck me as a very confusing player all season. Now, admittedly, I am not a huge fan of his this season, along with the Bears‘ offense. Mostly because of the inconsistency that this offense has every single week. Odunze has proven to be more like George Pickens than CeeDee Lamb.

The reason I bring this up is because of the goose egg he dropped in a game where his offense scored 47 points. This is not a trend I would expect to continue, but looking right now, he is ranked right around a WR1 in consensus. I do not believe in him as that type of player. He has only had one game since week 4, as well, in which he has over 10 fantasy points. I do not trust a player like that when I can get out now. Trade him for players like A.J. Brown, Ladd McConkey, and Jaylen Waddle.

Tee Higgins

Tee Higgins just had his best game of the season after the Bengals tried to keep pace with the Chicago Bears. Joe Flacco brought back the Bengals and scored nearly 40 fantasy points himself. Higgis had 2 touchdowns on 7 catches for 121 yards. This is probably going to be the wisest ceiling. I do not anticipate many games where we get this type of production out of him. If we just look at fantasy points, he has scored nearly 60 points over the last 3 weeks. Never mind the underlying stats in some of these games. You have to sell him on that. I would trade him for players like Quinshon Judkins and Chase Brown.

George Pickens

George Pickens is very similar to Rome Ofunze, except that he has a top-3 fantasy wide receiver opposite him. Dak Prescott, the Dallas Cowboys quarterback, has proven to this point that he would be able to support both of them, but I will say that Pickens has gotten to a point in the rankings that is hard to ignore.

Pickens has been a revelation this season, getting targeted 63 times and scoring 6 touchdowns already this season. He is on pace to be well over 1100 yards, but that is just the thing. I would bet on guys who are ranked lower to out-produce him from this point forward. Pickens is still a stud, but trade him for guys like Ladd McConkey, Emeka Egbuka, and A.J. Brown.
