Fantasy Football Risers & Fallers After Week 2

Another chaotic week of NFL football is almost in the books as Week 2 finalizes after tonight, when the New York Giants travel to Los Angeles to take on the Rams. Week 2 gave us yet another crazy week in fantasy football, as some players bounced back after a poor Week 1 performance while others doubled down and are off to a bad start to the season. Let’s take a look at some risers and fallers this week, but be warned: there are a lot of big names on the list!

Risers

Young finished his 2025 season strong, and many questioned whether it was a fluke or if he was the real deal; after two games, he has 6 TDs, 1 INT, and over 600 passing yards. His value is skyrocketing, especially in Superflex leagues, where some QBs mentioned later are drastically underperforming and not living up to expectations.

Buy Bryce Young, especially in Superflex. Young ranks QB4 through Week 2, averaging over 27.00 points a game, and the Panthers have a fairly easy schedule, all things considered.

Henderson missed Week 1 with an ankle injury, but in his season opener he found the end zone and averaged 4.75 yards per carry on 16 carries; he also out-carried Rhamondre Stevenson (6). If Week 2 was a sign of how many carries Henderson will get moving forward, he’s gonna make a great RB2 on some championship rosters; his only downside is that he’s been very inconsistent in the passing game.

Buy TreVeyon Henderson. I love his potential down the stretch, and I really love him in dynasty. Once Stevenson is fully out of the picture, he’s gonna eat in the backfield.

Tucker is your average WR most days, but he can be great at times. After putting up 22.90 points this week, Tucker bounced back from a quiet Week 1, when he got only 4 targets. In Week 2, he caught 7 passes, turning them into 5 receptions for over 100 receiving yards and a TD. Kirk Cousins might’ve found his WR1, but Tucker’s inconsistency will hold him back.

Sell Tre Tucker immediately. Some of you might remember last season in Week 3, Tucker exploded for 40.90 fantasy points and then never eclipsed 15 points again; in fact, he went over 10.00 points only 5 times all season. He’s not a guy you’re gonna want to start, but that doesn’t mean your league mates won’t believe in him. At the same time, he’s the only half-decent receiver in that room.

Schultz has been in the league since 2018, yet he’s never had this many targets through 2 weeks in his career (22). I know a large part of it is because the Texans WR room is banged up, but Schultz is producing enough to earn a permanent increase in targets. 16 receptions off 22 targets for 175 yards to start the season is exactly what you love to see in PPR formats.

Hold Dalton Schultz. Even if he’s your TE2, the TE position has been so inconsistent in recent years, Schultz included, that it’s worth having a good one on your bench over some of the offers you’d get right now.

Fallers

What is going on with Baker? Back-to-back abysmal performances, and Mayfield is the QB27 with just 2 total TDs to start the season. It’s a good thing Baker didn’t “bet on himself” again because the Buccaneers could’ve been looking for a new QB after this season if this performance continues.

Sell Baker Mayfield. This is a tough one, as I am a Baker truther admittedly; however, he has real value, finishing as a top-12 QB in each of the last 3 seasons. You can use this to get some of his hype back and even trade him for an overperforming QB.

This one hurts. All offseason, I hyped up Achane and said it doesn’t matter how bad the Dolphins are; he will produce, but over the last two weeks he’s averaged under 4 yards per carry and no TDs. Achane needs a crazy game soon to give team managers some hope.

Hold De’Von Achane; back-to-back RB5 finishes have earned him my respect. I still think this is more of a rough start to the season as the Dolphins’ lone weapon. Achane will bounce back and start producing sooner rather than later. The value you’d get back right now after using a late 1st/early 2nd round pick on him wouldn’t even be worth it in my eyes anyway.

Through two games, London has just 6 receptions for 80 yards. Yes, Cooper Rush is his QB, and yes, London was visibly frustrated on the sideline in yesterday’s game, but I am much more confident he can turn it around than Achane, and I’m a ride-or-die for Achane.

Buy Drake Lo because, as I said, Cooper Rush is the QB but not for much longer. Penix and/or Tua will be back by week 4, and even Penix might be back as early as this Thursday night. Once that happens, I do not doubt in my mind that London will return to form, and you’re gonna wish you were able to buy him low- well, not low, but lower than his value pre-Week 1 anyways!

Another Falcon on the list today, but it’s well deserved. Every season, he gives fantasy owners false hope for the following season, and all the talk was about how HC Kevin Stefanski feeds the TEs and how he’s coming off a TE2 season, and this and that. While he has the same issues as Drake London does with the QB situation, Pitts having just 1 reception in two games is more than just bad QB play; it’s bad TE play.

Sell Kyle Pitts while you still can; if Isaiah Likely has a down game tonight, that could be your perfect target, and it’s a clear improvement in my eyes. Another guy you can target with Pitts may very well be Dalton Schultz, whom I mentioned as a riser after getting 22 targets in two games. Either way, I am all out and then some on Kyle Pitts.
