5 Best Anytime Touchdown Scorer Picks for NFL Week 8 (2026)

Finding the best anytime touchdown scorers isn’t just about identifying players who score frequently. Matchups, red-zone opportunities, offensive tendencies and game environments all play significant roles in determining who has the best chance of reaching the end zone.

Week 8 features several favorable matchups, including Dallas against Arizona, Baltimore against Buffalo and Minnesota against Detroit. I’ve identified five touchdown scorers with established scoring roles or favorable matchups, although not every player offers the same betting value at their current odds.

1. Javonte Williams, RB (DAL) vs. ARI

Anytime touchdown odds: -208

Javonte Williams has been one of the most dependable touchdown scorers in football, finding the end zone nine times through seven games, including eight rushing touchdowns. He’s scored in six consecutive games while recording 473 rushing yards on 110 carries, establishing himself as the centerpiece of Dallas’ rushing attack. Williams has also dominated the Cowboys’ opportunities near the goal line, handling approximately 77% of their goal-line carries and 69% of their overall rushing attempts. His 20 combined red-zone and goal-line opportunities lead all running backs, providing an excellent foundation for his touchdown production. With Tyler Goodson handling a relatively small portion of the backfield workload, Williams remains Dallas’ clear preference when the offense gets close to the end zone.

Arizona presents an excellent matchup, allowing approximately 3.6 total touchdowns per game, the second-most in the NFL. Dallas enters the matchup with an implied team total near 30.8 points, creating one of the most favorable scoring environments on the Week 8 schedule. Williams’ combination of goal-line dominance and a projected positive game script makes him particularly appealing if Dallas establishes an early lead and leans on its rushing attack. The Cowboys’ offensive scoring opportunities should provide Williams with multiple chances to extend his touchdown streak. His expensive price limits the betting value, but his established goal-line role makes him one of my favorite players to find the end zone in Week 8.

2. Derrick Henry, RB (BAL) @ BUF

Anytime touchdown odds: -225

Derrick Henry has remained one of football’s most dangerous goal-line runners, recording eight total touchdowns through seven games, including seven on the ground. He leads all running backs with 147 rushing attempts and has accumulated 579 rushing yards while handling approximately 84% of Baltimore’s goal-line carries. Henry also ranks third among running backs with 330 yards after contact, demonstrating his ability to generate additional yardage through physical running. However, his recent production has been less encouraging, as he’s failed to score in consecutive games and managed just 45 rushing yards on 17 attempts in Week 7. Lamar Jackson’s expected return could provide a significant boost to Baltimore’s offense after Tyler Huntley started its previous game, potentially creating more opportunities for Henry near the goal line.

Buffalo presents one of the most favorable rushing touchdown matchups in football, allowing approximately 1.5 touchdowns per game to opposing running backs, tied for the second-most in the NFL. Over the Bills’ last six games, opposing running backs with the two highest snap counts have scored touchdowns in seven of 12 individual performances. Baltimore enters the matchup with an implied team total near 25.7 points, while the game carries a 54.5-point total, tied for the highest on the schedule. Buffalo’s productive offense could force Baltimore into a more aggressive approach, but Henry’s dominant goal-line role gives him opportunities whenever the Ravens reach scoring position. I’m backing Henry to end his two-game touchdown drought against a Buffalo defense that has consistently struggled to keep running backs out of the end zone.

3. CeeDee Lamb, WR (DAL) vs. ARI

Anytime touchdown odds: -125

CeeDee Lamb has continued to dominate Dallas’ passing attack, recording 53 receptions for 651 yards and six touchdowns through seven games. His receiving yardage ranks second among wide receivers, while his approximately 80 targets and nine end-zone targets rank among the highest totals at the position. Lamb has commanded roughly 30% of Dallas’ targets this season, with that number increasing to 38% over his last two appearances. His recent production has also been encouraging, as he caught two touchdowns against Philadelphia in Week 7, bringing his total to six scores in seven games. Lamb’s combination of target volume, first-read involvement and end-zone opportunities gives him multiple paths to another touchdown, particularly when Dallas increases its passing volume.

Arizona has struggled against opposing wide receivers, allowing approximately 1.43 receiving touchdowns per game to the position, tied for the second-most in football. That creates an excellent matchup for Lamb in a game featuring a 54.5-point total, with Dallas implied to score more than 30 points. The Cardinals’ defensive weaknesses should provide opportunities for Dak Prescott to attack through the air, particularly when Lamb is isolated against favorable coverage. Williams’ dominance near the goal line creates some competition for Dallas’ touchdowns, and the Cowboys could lean on their rushing attack if they establish an early lead. However, Lamb’s substantial receiving involvement and nine end-zone targets make him a strong candidate to score again. I’m backing Lamb because his established scoring role and Arizona’s struggles against wide receivers create an excellent combination of opportunity and matchup.

4. Stefon Diggs, WR (WAS) vs. PHI

Anytime touchdown odds: +230

Stefon Diggs has quickly established himself as Washington’s primary receiving threat, recording 24 receptions for 214 yards and four touchdowns through five appearances. His receiving yardage hasn’t been particularly impressive, but his scoring production tells a different story, as he’s found the end zone in three of his five games. Diggs commands approximately 23% of Washington’s targets and has been the first read on 76% of his opportunities, demonstrating how frequently the offense looks his direction. His four receiving touchdowns rank sixth among wide receivers, while his red-zone production has been particularly encouraging. Terry McLaurin’s season-ending injury has also created additional opportunities in Washington’s passing attack, strengthening Diggs’ role moving forward. After dealing with hand and hamstring concerns, Diggs returned to full participation in Thursday’s practice.

Philadelphia presents an excellent matchup for receiving touchdowns, allowing approximately 1.43 scores per game to opposing wide receivers, tied for the second-most in the NFL. The Eagles have also faced approximately 15 red-zone plays per game, the most in football, creating substantial scoring opportunities for opposing offenses. Washington enters the matchup as a six-point favorite against a Philadelphia team dealing with significant offensive injuries, potentially giving the Commanders additional opportunities to operate with favorable field position. Diggs’ relatively modest receiving yardage creates some concerns about his overall consistency, but his established scoring role and favorable matchup make him particularly appealing at plus-money odds. I’m backing Diggs as my favorite value touchdown selection of Week 8 because his red-zone involvement and Philadelphia’s defensive struggles create a better scoring opportunity than his price suggests.

5. T.J. Hockenson, TE (MIN) @ DET

Anytime touchdown odds: +280

T.J. Hockenson has recorded 27 receptions for 237 yards and two touchdowns through six appearances, remaining an important part of Minnesota’s passing attack despite inconsistent weekly production. His receiving involvement has produced some impressive performances, including a 13-catch, 119-yard outing against Miami earlier this season. However, his recent usage creates legitimate concerns, as he’s commanded just 11% of Minnesota’s targets over his last two appearances after operating closer to 20% earlier in the season. Hockenson has also received just two end-zone targets this season, limiting his scoring opportunities compared with tight ends who command a larger share of their offenses’ red-zone looks. His touchdown production has been inconsistent, but Week 8 presents an unusually favorable matchup that could help offset those concerns.

Detroit has been the most favorable touchdown matchup for opposing tight ends, allowing approximately 1.67 touchdowns per game to the position, the highest rate in the NFL. Over the Lions’ last six games, the two opposing tight ends with the highest snap counts have scored touchdowns in eight of their 12 individual performances. Tucker Kraft found the end zone against Detroit in Week 7, while Trey McBride also capitalized on the matchup earlier this season. Minnesota enters the game with an implied team total near 21.8 points, creating some concerns about its overall scoring opportunities, particularly with the Vikings maintaining a relatively conservative passing approach. Hockenson’s declining recent target share makes this a riskier selection than the matchup alone suggests, but Detroit’s inability to defend tight ends creates an appealing opportunity at plus-money odds. I’m backing Hockenson as a higher-risk touchdown selection because the Lions have consistently struggled to prevent scoring at his position.

Final Thoughts

Javonte Williams, Derrick Henry and CeeDee Lamb have some of the strongest touchdown profiles on the Week 8 schedule, combining substantial offensive involvement with favorable matchups. However, their expensive prices leave relatively little room for betting value, particularly when their scoring probabilities are compared with the implied odds.

Stefon Diggs stands out as my favorite value selection at +230, with Washington’s receiving opportunities and Philadelphia’s defensive struggles providing an appealing path to the end zone. T.J. Hockenson offers another plus-money opportunity against the league’s most vulnerable defense against tight ends, although his declining recent target share makes him a considerably riskier play.

All five have credible paths to scoring, but I would prioritize Diggs at the listed price rather than treating every selection as an equally attractive wager.
