Week 10 Last-Minute Waiver Adds

Streaming running backs is a barren wasteland with all the byes and injuries, as Week 10 does offer some streaming quarterbacks/ tight ends that are decent. Wide receivers, however, are more scattered and boom-bust week-to-week. In general, finding low-owned potential streamers that can boom is the hardest part of the decision-making process in fantasy football.

With kickoff looming, it’s time to make those final roster tweaks by adding potential 35% owned or lower players to your roster. Whether you’re dealing with injuries, bye weeks, or just looking for upside, here are some last-minute waiver wire adds who could make a difference in Week 10.

Running Backs to Add for Week 10

At least in PPR, while Bam Knight saw fewer carries, Emari Demercado (coming off injury) saw more looks in this game, as he has a nice floor receiving and had a decent game on the ground against the Cowboys. While the Seahawks’ run defense is a tougher matchup, there could be more usage for Demercado if the Cardinals are trailing early.

With Rhamondre Stevenson out again, TreVeyon Henderson will see the bulk of the carries, but Terrell Jennings had a goal-line role for the Patriots. If there is a handcuff that could potentially be startable if you are desperate due to injuries and byes, Jennings could be that guy who might get double-digit carries against the Buccaneers.

Honorable Mention: Terrell Jennings (@ Tampa Bay Buccaneers): ESPN- 5.7%, Sleeper- 2%, Yahoo- 2%

Wide Receivers to Add for Week 10

Besides D.K. Metcalf and the trio of tight ends, there’s not much for Aaron Rodgers to throw to in Pittsburgh right now. Calvin Austin III has stepped up as a PPR volume play in the past and came back from injury two weeks ago, seeing at least six targets in both games. He might be a potential start/ stash that is low-owned who has a shot to score on a deep play against the Chargers.

While Demario Douglas likely won’t have 20 PPR fantasy points again, he will see more looks with Kayshon Boutte out. Last week against the Falcons, he had six targets and had 100 yards plus a touchdown. I wouldn’t expect that vs. Tampa Bay, but he could get a similar target share again and has had at least 40 yards receiving with Boutte out the last two weeks, making him playable if you are desperate in PPR.

Honorable Mention: Demario Douglas (@ Tampa Bay Buccaneers) ESPN- 11%, Sleeper- 10%, Yahoo- 8%

Tight Ends to Stream for Week 10

With Tucker Kraft out, Luke Musgrave steps in for the Packers. While they won’t likely scheme him up the same way in their offense, he should see enough looks to make him stream-worthy or at least stash-worthy against Philly this week in a tough matchup. Last week, he saw three targets for 34 yards and has the upside (draft pedigree) to try to do the best he can to replicate some of what Kraft did for them, as they don’t have reliable weapons besides Romeo Doubs (with Matthew Golden not involved as much).

If A.J. Barner plays, currently questionable, he is another tight end who can be streamed week-in and week-out as a consistent touchdown maker or big-play threat. He has had at least a touchdown (either rushing or receiving) or over 40-50 yards in five games this season. Last time Barner faced Arizona, he saw three targets, 32 yards, and a touchdown.

Luke Musgrave (vs. Philadelphia Eagles): ESPN- 14.2%, Sleeper- 29%, Yahoo- 12%

Honorable Mention: A.J. Barner (vs. Arizona Cardinals): ESPN- 11%, Sleeper- 21%, Yahoo- 10%

Quarterbacks to Stream for Week 10

Jacoby Brissett has been lights out in his starts, replacing Kyler Murray in Arizona, who was put on injured reserve. Although it is a tough matchup vs. the Seahawks, I would still consider streaming till we see him really struggle, as the Cardinals have scored 27 points in the last three games, and most of it is through the air.

Although C.J. Stroud being out with a concussion hurts the Houston offense, it actually could be a good thing, at least for Nico Collins. Davis Mills has been serviceable in the past and has looked to his go-to guy in Collins before, as we have seen backup quarterbacks funnel targets to the number one option in the offense. The Jaguars are a favorable matchup for quarterbacks, as we could see a potential AFC South shootout with a lack of a run game for the Texans.

Jacoby Brissett (@ Seattle Seahawks): ESPN- 16.4%, Sleeper- 15%, Yahoo- 17%

Honorable Mention: Davis Mills (vs. Jacksonville Jaguars): ESPN- 1.9%, Sleeper- 4%, Yahoo- 2%

Defenses to Stream for Week 10

While the red-hot Patriots are coming to town, the Buccaneers themselves have been a solid defense with a good floor as a top-10 unit. Sometimes, streaming defenses isn’t about matchups, since many lower defenses with better matchups have flopped this year. Tampa Bay is also a good stash for the fantasy playoffs.

Although Jaxson Dart has been a top fantasy quarterback, the Chicago Bears are still a good streamer that is relatively lower owned. Check the weather for this game, as if it is heavy snow could lead to multiple turnovers and be beneficial for the defenses, as we have seen Dart turn the ball over in most of their games.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (vs. New England Patriots): ESPN- 28.7%, Sleeper- 29%, Yahoo- 32%

Chicago Bears (vs. New York Giants): ESPN- 16.6%, Sleeper- 23%, Yahoo- 29%
