The regular season schedule was released over a month ago, now it is time to let the chaos commence as the predictions come flooding in. The NFC has been in flux for the past years, with this year possibly having another 2024 Washington Commanders-like run. The NFC always tends to have some surprises and always has an exciting race to the postseason, and whoever makes it to the NFC playoffs deserves their spot, as no NFL team has a walk in the park year coming in 2025. Let the predictions commence and the offseason Super Bowl crowning begin, as we slump into the slow season for the NFL before we ramp back up for training camp.
NFC East:
Will we see a repeat champ in the NFC East for the first time in 20 years? I say not. The Philadelphia Eagles are the defending world champs and are a huge problem for any team; however, I do believe a team has done enough to catch up and even surpass them to win the division. That team is the Dallas Cowboys. I believe that the additions of George Pickens and Matt Eberflus will greatly help on their respective side of the ball. I also would not count out the Washington Commanders, and Jayden Daniels, as if Daniels grows in year two, the sky is the limit for this team, as they are playing their hearts out for Dan Quinn. This division will be a three-horse race, but I think that the Dallas Cowboys will end up victorious by the end of the regular season, with a 12-5 record. Now let’s see if new Head Coach Brian Schottenheimer can overcome their playoff doldrums.
NFC North:
The NFC North is widely considered to be the best division in the NFL. I would have to agree with that, as all four teams in this division finished the regular season with a winning record. The Detroit Lions do end up winning the division; however, they only win by tie-breaker against the Minnesota Vikings due to division record. I do believe that even with Aaron Glenn and Ben Johnson leaving, Dan Campbell will have his men ready to play week in and week out. The Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears both finish 9-8 and miss the playoffs by one game, as Caleb Williams and Jordan Love have disappointing seasons for their respective teams. This division has never disappointed in recent years, and I am greatly looking forward to seeing how this division plays out and how the winner of this division stacks up against the rest of the playoff slate.

NFC South
The NFC South is not close in my opinion, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are easily the division champs once again. The New Orleans Saints are not close and are currently fighting for the 1st overall pick in the 2026 draft in Pittsburgh, PA. Bryce Young did vastly improve at the end of the 2024 season, but I do not think it is enough to even compete with Tampa Bay this season. The Atlanta Falcons are currently on their way to another coaching change as Raheem Morris just isn’t putting the pieces together with the likes of Bijan Robinson and Drake London. Many people will say the Falcons have a chance, but I just cannot see a season where the Buccaneers lose more than six games, and I do not see a world where the other three NFC South teams come close to an 11-win season.
NFC West
The NFC West is a division loaded with talent that hasn’t clicked yet, from Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals to the Seattle Seahawks struggling to stay healthy at the RB position. However, the Los Angeles Rams have been a consistent force for the past couple of years and will continue to run this division without much pushback from the other teams. Sean McVay and Matthew Stafford have one more run in them, and I believe they have the team to do it, as the Rams dominate the regular season, only losing one game in my 2025 predictions. Kyle Shanahan and the San Francisco 49ers will also make the playoffs as a wildcard team that may have the firepower to go into an away stadium and steal a win. The NFC West has always been dangerous and unpredictable, and with the influx of athletes into the NFL, this is only becoming more evident and must be taken seriously.
